When you join our Surbiton Fitness & Wellbeing Centre you'll experience the unique Nuffield Health 3-step gym plan which is expertly designed to help you succeed, whatever your objectives.

Your journey with us begins with our 12-point Health MOT from which you'll obtain a 'health score'. You'll then carry out a personalised gym programme for 3 months before having a second Health MOT. If you have not maintained or improved your score you'll be free to leave with no obligation.

I have been a member of Nuffield Health for over 4 years now, and I feel compelled to express my growing dissatisfaction with the facility's maintenance and hygiene standards.nnThe sauna and steam rooms are frequently unclean, with rubbish often left there for days, which is completely unacceptable. This creates an unpleasant experience and raises serious concerns about basic hygiene.nnAdditionally, the water fountain in the men's changing room and poolside is poorly functioning, often dispensing lukewarm water, which makes it difficult to stay hydrated after using the swimming pool,  sauna and steam room. The changing rooms themselves also have issues, with flies sometimes present. It’s not uncommon to see these flies attached to my skin after a shower or lingering on the walls, further highlighting the lack of cleanliness and care.nnAnother significant issue is the broken gym equipment, with no replacements provided for missing items. For example, there are not enough 5kg weights, cable machine attachments, or resistance bands, to name just a few. These problems seem to persist for extended periods without repair or replacement. As members paying a premium fee, we expect well-maintained and fully stocked facilities, yet this basic standard is not being met.nnI have raised these concerns with the team on multiple occasions, yet nothing has been done to address them. Other members have also voiced similar complaints but received no response or acknowledgment. This lack of action and communication only adds to the frustration.nnTo make matters worse, membership fees have increased, but there is little evidence of these funds being reinvested into improving hygiene, equipment, or the overall member experience.nnFor a gym that prides itself on health and well-being, this is incredibly disappointing. I sincerely hope Nuffield Health takes these concerns seriously, addresses them promptly, and implements the improvements necessary to meet the standards members expect and deserve.

I have been a member for 3 years, fantastic facilities and excellent staff. My personal trainer specialises in older post menopausal women which is really helpful; he understands that what is good for a 30 year old man is not right for a 70 year old woman. I have been training with him for 6 months and my strength and flexibility has improved immensely. All the trainers are really helpful and the equipment is well maintained. The pool is really good and the H&S surrounding use of the pool is excellent. Can highly recommend Nuffield especially to older clients.

Poorly maintened. Ladies shower area is not cleaned regularly enough.nThe grout in the shower is filthy. Hair on floor. The soap dispensers are missing.nHave pointed this out several times.nnConsidering the membership is high, the ladies shower area needs a good refurb.

Becky Q is an outstanding member of the team. She’s the only instructor I know who can deliver amazing classes in the pool, on the gym floor or across all the studios to both adults and children. She’s given my daughter a new found belief and confidence in the pool and I always see her checking in on the members and her colleagues, she is the absolute heartbeat of the club. In a site full of good quality staff Paul, Lisa, Bex, to name a few, she really is the epitome.

I was a bit surprised with lower star rating than Kingston Nuffield. I have used the gym mostly for swimming with little ones and would say on avarage it is very nice gym to go to. I disliked the fact that during week there are too many classes and you basically can't use the small pool at all. Also most of the week days family splash is only until 18:00 in the big pool.
