Spa Cycles are a cycle touring specialist based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire

Story

We have been serving the touring cyclist for over 35 years and sell the bikes, parts and accessories you would need and expect both online and in our shop. Using our experience as cyclists we have now designed two bikes which are made from 3al 2.5v titanium and aim to meet the needs of touring cyclists, audax riders, winter clubmen and all weather commuters.

The emphasis is on bikes that are not necessarily flash or fancy but that are good value for money and provide the ride, handling and reliability our customers want.

A hidden gem of a cycle shop! Went in with a problem with an old vintage bike, not only did the staff help fix the issue, they charged me a fraction of the price that a branded cycle shop had quoted me. Will be my go to shop for all things cycle related from now on.

I bought a saddle off Spa Cycles 2 years ago (a Nidd) - it is brilliant. It took a bit of breaking in but it's a work of art. If my bike gets nicked - it's this saddle that I'll be gutted to lose! I have a Brookes on another bike and it's not a patch on the Spa Cycle saddle. Moreover, a tension bolt fell off after about 9,000 miles (my fault, I didn't tighten it up) and the lad at Spa Cycles popped a new one in the post free of charge. No fuss. No bother. Quality product. Proper service.

You'd better hope you never have to make a warranty claim through Spa Cycles. I had a terrible experience. I received no replacement of the faulty product I sent back nor a refund. They will ignore your emails for weeks if not months at a time despite multiple chasers. My last chased email was completely ignored. I gave up in the end. The £130 wasn't worth the effort.

I bought a Surly LHT from them with their own built wheelset. The wheelset was indestructible! Excellent craftsmanship. My next bike I bought was factory built and I had broken spokes and bits coming loose within the first 500 miles. For me the after sales service was ok too. I would definitely recommend these guys if you are looking for a solid touring bike.

Appallingly rude and ignorant owner. Sworn at when speaking to them on the phone while attempting to return to them a duplicate item they had sent to me. Submitted a complaint to trading services.
