Best service I have received in York. No hesitation to take as much time with me as I liked. Solid advice and honesty when they didn't know an answer.

Obtained a comparison price, and price matched without my asking.

A "Can-do" attitude, rather than a "don't bother me" one.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Been using Evans Cycles York for some time, bought my current bike from them a while ago. Used them to purchase upgrades, also to get my suspension forks serviced.

Staff are friendly and relatively knowledgable about the products they sell. Great service including test rides, trade-ins, free accessories. Good range of bikes in store plus many other models online which they can procure within a few days.

Had a fantastic experience today, buying a new bike. Credit where credit is due. A huge thanks to Neil who was extremely patient and there was no pressure to buy at all. All staff were responsive, responsible, knowledgable and friendly. In fact the guys could not have done more for me - changing stems to try out different positions to get the right fit, and also calling a store more local to me along the way.

I noticed the mechanic working, he was super efficient, precise, thourough and a perfectionist taking pride in his work - unfortunately I didn't catch his name. Having worked on bikes for many years myself and with no vested interest in his work today - it's just worth mentioning!!

With all of this, as a customer I found it particularly frustrating to see a couple being inpatient, moaning and winging that all of the asistants were busy with customers (who I might add had arrived before them)! The team at Evans seemingly can't win, either they'd be accused of being pushy / smothering or too laid back and inattentive. In reality they are neither. Perhaps I had a goldilocks experience...but I found them to be just right!

I'm glad I ignored some of the less favourable reviews on here. Well done team. 👍🏼👌🏼
