Rob was great to deal with, nothing was too much trouble. Let us both try several helmets in different sizes and models, advised on each and obviously he knows his product very well. Definitely no pushy sales pitch at all. A great shop with some seriously nice gear. Great prices too. Thank You Rob!
A lot of reviews seems to be people either full of praise or scathing complaints and I'm happy to be sat on the former side of that fence. I received absolutely top notch after-sales service from Stif - including numerous follow-up calls from Gavin who took me through the process, timings, bike set-up and answered any questions I had. Bike arrived via courier on time and was all set-up perfectly straight out of the box - gears all working as they should not shuddering through changes, brakes all fine no rubbing discs and forks all set up to my pre-given weight. They'd also fitted the front guard I'd bought and there was sealant already in the tyres. Bang on. Great experience buying from a retailer that clearly cares both about it's customers and it's own reputation.
Rode over at the end of the day with my bike during our ride along the Way of the Roses in July, as my brakes needed a lot of attention. The team were really helpful and friendly even though we arrived basically as they were closing. Checked my bike over and adjusted my brakes for me. We were very grateful as we still had another 12 miles to ride to our accommodation and it had been a particularly gruelling day. Would 100% recommend. Thank you!
Just received and built up this beauty with the help of the guys at Stif. Jed in the sales team was extremely helpful through the entire process and spoke with knowledge and passion about the range of Santa Cruz models on offer and crucially helped me with the sizing by comparing geo charts from bikes I’ve previously owned. The frame and other parts arrived quickly and they had gone to the trouble of pre-routing some cabling in the frame before packing the bike saving me time on my build. I couldn’t be happier with the service received especially as the entire process was done via phone and email and the bike is stunning!! Great job team, keep it up!
I picked up my Bronson 2022 yesterday from Summerbridge. I’ve been dealing with Jim on the phone and he wasn’t in for collection but he’s been brilliant. The communication and customer service was excellent. Also I have dealt with Jed on the phone on pickup day and in person to set the bike up and run through everything. Again Jed was brilliant to deal with. Both are clearly really passionate about what they do and are a credit to Stif. Just wants to share my positive experience and say thanks for all their help.
Travelled about an hour to get to the shop. It's clean and really well presented with products easily accessible. I was buying a helmet and was served by Rob. Rob was professional, friendly and courteous and happy to get as many helmets as I wanted to try, talk about them and make recommendations. Thanks Rob you made it a real pleasure.
Went down to Summerbridge to collect my new Stiff Squatch on Friday. Great customer service with the sales team taking time to adjust and set the bike up for me, with a few test laps of the industrial estate. Nice shop, with good parking. Parent company are UK distributors for Santa Cruz, so a big focus on Santa Cruz bikes in the showroom, as well as other clothing and accessory brands distributed by the parent. Pity they don't feature the Stiff brand more in the showroom with their innovative design and high quality build, but their online Web page does a good job of promoting the Squatch. Covid policy is sympathetically implemented, but sadly, having just driven from Cumbria, this does mean that the coffee is no longer freely flowing.
I rang and spoke to Stif Mountain Bikes a few weeks ago and asked about ordering a new Santa Cruz MegaTower. Unfortunately they only had the green in the build I wanted so I was out of luck. Not more than 10mins later, my phone rang and they found a Black frame and said they could transfer all the parts from the green bike onto the black...that is, if that's what I wanted. Hell Yes!!! We spoke through the process of getting it invisi-framed and built and the timing. Not only did the build happen right on schedule but the delivery to me arrived two days earlier than I expected. Such awesome service and I would highly recommend buying a bike from Stif.
Having pre-ordered a 2019 Santa Cruz some time ago I was kept upto date with the state of the shipping/arrival times. When I went to collect the bike Al gave me a full run down of the bike as well as setting up the basics in-store before I took the bike home. Al and the rest of the guys at Stif, I can't thank you all enough for the great service and after care you provide!! Keep up the great work.
Really happy with the service I received, I had been deliberating between the 5010 and Bronson, bought the 5010 then changed my mind, they were happy to swap it over, gave me loads of useful information on sizing and kept me informed throughout the buying process. Would highly recommend. Keep up the good work guys.
