Interesting place. Was expecting a little more but still nice to see.
Beautifull promenade walk from Portsmouth Harbour Trainstation to the Castle, seing the Pier where You can get refreshments and passing by the Aquariun, arriving at the Castle, beautifull views towards the Wight island!!
To me, this is not your average looking Fairytale castle. Southsea castle obviously has a lot of historic interest. I walk past here daily. Great location for a castle on the edge of the Solent, with exceptionally breath taking sunrise and sunset views.
Beautiful castle in a prime Portsmouth location. Best bit about the castle is the Courtyard Cafè, especially on a Sunday when they do the best roast in the city! Trust me!
Nice space to visit and get surrounding views of the area. Would have been better during our visit if huge areas of the castle were not closed off. But still a enjoyable time.
