I have visited before and off all the 3 historical ships to see, she is possibly the least interesting to view. Currently under a major restoration. All that being said still a huge and impressive piece of living naval history and a must see . No flash photography allowed and quite a few low deck heads and ladder chains to do Love being able to walk down and under the hull in the dry dock Big bonus is the free audio tour available
So much to see so much to do. I should imagine that summer months would be busy. A wet, windy end of September was still popular. It's a ship of its time, low beams, steep steps, ongoing restoration work, and no lifts. It's worth every penny.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
Amazing bit of history. The free audio tour where you can scan little tiles to play audio clips to learn more about the room you are in was amazing. Traditional audio tours means you need to sort of hover around and go at its pace. With this you can go at your leisure. If you want to skip something then you can not sure why you would want to but the option is nice As for the ship itself. It’s a wealth of British naval history. A truly remarkable ship that was a joy to explore.
Fascinating! A ship so loaded with history! You can imagine how the hundreds of sailors lived under the decks with low ceilings, how they slept, how they ate, the breathless atmosphere during the battles. Unfortunately, the ship is in an extensive restoration process that prevents you from enjoying all its majesty. Tip: Watch out for the head!
Very nice piece of naval history. The boat is in perfect condition and you are allowed to visit all the floors and most of the rooms of the ship. Around the ship you will find volunteers that will explain most of the ship history and characteristics, there are also interactive pieces for kids that make the exhibition more interactive. At certain times the museum will do activities that show and explain real historical pieces such as weapons in a very interactive way. I would recommend it more than the Warrior if you have to choose attractions.
Much of the outside is covered because of a major restoration project, but inside gives an excellent insight into life on board and the death of Nelson. The restoration work gives an insight into the ship's construction and evolution. The team on board were very knowledgeable.
Absolutely beautiful, what an amazing peace of our English history highly recommend. Literally blown away. I am truly blessed to have walked on such a famous ship .Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
My first ever visit to the victory, it was a shame that she was all covered up, but they are carrying out very important repairs, so she will be here for another 250 years. They are not joking when they say, "Mind your head," as some parts are very low indead. With all of the work going on, you still get full access to the inside of the ship. There are a few options you can take when you walk around the ship there are guided tours, unguided tours they are both with head sets or you can just wander around on you own with no commentary.
What a fantastic piece of British history to be able to walk through. The audio guide is a must and is free when you walk in. Enough for the kids to enjoy but a real treat for anyone with even a passing knowledge of the battle of trafalgar.
The staff on board are amazing. The stories and knowledge are brilliant. My nephew loved the interaction and he got to hold a rifle. The kids enjoyed themselves.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
