March visit was great. My recent visit was nothing short of delightful. From the moment I stepped onto the grounds, I was greeted by the warm ambiance and friendly staff. The farm's dedication to providing a memorable experience for both visitors and animals alike was evident at every turn. One of the highlights of my visit was the opportunity to interact with the animals. From gentle goats to curious chickens, each creature was well-cared-for and seemed genuinely happy in their environment. The petting area was clean and well-maintained, allowing visitors to engage with the animals in a safe and enjoyable way.
Lovely farm. I took my elderly disabled mum here and she loved petting the animals. It has a nice cafe that isn't overly expensive. The paths are dirty and woodchip and are fairly sound although some people with mobility issues or wheelchair users might find it a little tricky. Carers get free entry. I would definitely recommend this place.
We came at the weekend for the beginning of their half term week. This isn't our first trip to rare breeds and definitely won't be our last. My children have a great time every time we visit. The animals are all well looked after and cared for. There is enough to do to keep the whole family busy for the day.
Can be very muddy in areas further out from animal enclosures. 2 week Pre- booking advised for busy periods. We went at Easter so there were extra activities and entertainment relating to that, e.g. lamb interaction, young pig racing, Easter displays and Alice in Wonderland characters around. The main restaurant is very busy around 11.30-1.30pm and there were long queues, so take snacks for little ones and a flask for adults if you want a hot meal and drink, as the queue took us over half an hour. Extra time is needed for them making the hot drinks. That aside, we thoroughly enjoyed our trip.
We visited on an October half term Friday. The day started with rain so it wasn't terribly busy there, but by the time we started walking around, it was warm sunshine. There was plenty of entertainment going on, with costumed characters, a clued trail, pig racing, shows, face painting and a scarecrow competition. The animals are cute and you can pet some of them. There are some decent play areas including a soft play that we didn't visit, and a woodland walk with different distanced routes marked out. I feel it is aimed at toddler to primary aged children; I took two 8-year-old boys and they both had a lovely day, and we came about 5 years previously and it was great then too.
Absolutely loved it! Have recommended to a few friends and work friends already. The staff were all so lovely, friendly and chatty. They clearly loved both the animals and their jobs. All the animals looked happy and health. It's such a big space they have. Some of the animals they put in a small thing so you can pet them. I loved the Highland Cow so much! Huckleberry was so friendly and used to people. Very handsome boy. We got a little confused because we didnt read the map right. We spent a little while looking for the Highland Cow he's the main reason I wanted to go not realising he was at the front. We didn't go to where he was because it was called the children's something and we were two adults. But it very clearly said what it was on signs and we missed it. We asked someone and managed to find him. We will definitely be going back!
Me and a friend visited yesterday. A peaceful place to walk in the woods and look at the animals. I especially loved the rabbits and Guinea pigs, the lady there was very friendly. The pig race is always entertaining and provided fun for both adults and children. Would recommend it to anyone with children, a fun place
There is so much to do and see. Petting the animals. Tractor ride, playgrounds, Softplay, woodland walk, pig racing, just to name a few. Staff were fantastic, so helpful and friendly. Bring a picnic, even on a drizzly day. There's plenty of shelter. Cafe was busy, but we went at peak lunchtime.
Smashing day out, tractor ride included. Lots to do, see and experience. Leaking water pipe on the back trail so expect to get very muddy change of shoes and trousers are a must ... wildlife galore .... very lovely day for the whole family.
Best farm visit I have ever done, you can stroke the animals, pigs rabbits goats etc.. excellent! Also saw two lambs being born magical.
