It's a long way with long steep staircases to get from platforms 1-2 to 5-6. Station operation seemed great, with trains joining and splitting like clockwork. The worst part is the middle platforms where the Eurostar used to call, the tracks are rusted and all that investment in departure lounges etc is sitting idle. Meantime, the current Eurostar trains whizz past on a viaduct next to platform 6, which feels surreal.
Bit quiet station. Bright and modern than rest of around the area. This station has facilities like escalator, lift, cafe etc. quick connection for London St Pancras. Staff was helpful.
Staff very helpful and friendly. Costa at entrance with seating and both platforms have either starbucks on platforms 1 and 2 Starbucks 4 and 5. Clear electric sign posts for trains. Reliable service
Good Interchange point but as the station is operated by Southeastern if the train is delayed from London you will most likely miss your Southern Train to Eastbourne as the train will not wait
Worst ever service provider! Train cancelled without any prior warning and missed medical appointment in Rye as bus replacement takes 57 minutes instead of 22minutes as the train would need...all what they said is we are sorry but nothing can be done ,not event a good will compensation for a taxi to get to Rye in time.! AVOID as much as you can!
