Lovely weekend trip with the family. Kids 5, 8 and 15 enjoyed what was on offer and the little town was ideal for some lunch and little stroll. Facilities on site were kept clean and tidy. Pool area and changing rooms are the cleanest I've seen. Staff very friendly everyone very kind and welcoming you can see how hard they all work. Prices are good too however the on site store is a little pricey but they do tend to be anyway. Caravan on nightingale was perfect for us. Pristine inside, lots of kitchen utensils etc, lovely little welcome pack with some bits inside.nOverall had a brilliant weekend and would definitely look to come again.
So just arriving home after four days staying here in nightingale area, all I will say is don't be put off by negative reviews,.make your own decisions as I'm glad I did.nnThis is my honest review broken down into sections:nnReception:nOn arrival headed to reception to be greated by very polite friendly and helpful staff. Easiest & fastest check in I've experienced.nnFood :nThere is a small shop on site that sells majority of the things you need, some slightly pricey but it is what it is.nnFood in the restaurant is nice with plenty of choice, kids meals come with a drink, decent pint of Guinness, staff in here are nice and helpful especially Sarah.nnPizza van is nice fairy priced and a decent selection.nnArcade:nArcade area is brilliant plenty to choose from, I didn't get the lads name that was working Monday 24th and Tuesday 25th evening but what a nice polite lad, my son age 5 has an obsession with the 2pm machine and items kept getting stuck he would come over and have a laugh and joke while helping get the items out, but then nothing seemed to much of issue with anyone else always laughing and joking. Same again with the girl working on the Wednesday same attitude absolutely brilliant can't fault them at all. You can also watch sport in here as there is TVs and a bar.nnPark:nPark is nice clean with a big ship to climb on etc and swingsnnCaravan:nThe caravan I had was clean, spacious and well located in nightingale area.nnSwimming:nNow this is the only negative thing I can think of, the staff in here were brilliant again but the pool itself lets it down, it's just a small pool no slides etc.nnEntertainment:nWe only visited the entertainment twice but it seemed really good, again bar staff friendly and polite.nnAll in all, a nice, very clean site with friendly and polite staff. Would I recommend this site, yes definitely. Will I return.. yes already looking at booking again.nnId rate it 9.5/10 and this is purely down to the swimming, my kids love swimming but this just wasn't for them.
Great site. All staff lovely and friendly. Chalet clean and tidy spacious stayed in a 3 bedroom. Pool well managed by Ollie and team also very clean and tidy. Lovely personalities and customer service 10/10 same for night staff in the entertainment area shannon and girls were lovely. Kids arcade Good fun all staff Great ther too special mention for Jay service with a smile and customer service 10/10 other staff also but didnt get ther names .. nothing was a bother. We stayed in a 2 bedroom caravan which had a sofa bed in the living area on Nightingale, it was very clean, the beds were comfortable, a small welcome pack with tea, coffee, dish cloth, tea towel was a nice touch.nIt was a short walk to the main area, reception- the staff were very pleasant & helpful. A small shop for all your basic needs, again staff were very nice, an arcade area, restaurant that also did take away meals. The food was nice, the plates came very hot so we had to allow time for them to cool down before the children could eat 5 & 2 take away portions were a good size.nHadrians entertainment centre, things started about 5pm for the tots, entertainment was good, the entertainment staff were excellent, interacted with the children, weren't just reading off a script as at some parks. Mini disco, kids games, family bingo & cash bingo. Also later shows. Kids LOVED it!nAlso a creative studio with various options & a small pool you do need to book 24 hours before. It has a small 0.5m deep area & the rest is 1m deep. The staff were very attentive & helpful.nWe had a great short stay.
Honestly we had a lovely time here. Our caravan bronze was beautiful. Immaculately clean and looked brand new inside. Very cozy too.nThe staff were all lovely and friendly, although clearly overworked, some of them were on shift all day until late at night.nThe location to Silloth town centre and the seafront was amazing, you could easily walk it in 5/10 minutes or drive and park up.nThe pool doesnt have slides or allow inflatables but it was lovely and warm! The staff are very vigilant with safety which is reassuring.nThe only downside for us was that the main source of entertainment for our kids outside of the pool was the arcade, so we spent a small fortune! But really we were very happy with our stay here. We read some bad reviews before we came but I think maybe the place has had an overhaul since then to address the issues.
