As far as fisheries go this is the best one in Scotland in my opinion. Friendly staff. Great shop with decent prices. The layout of ponds are well stocked and very well maintained. Been here several times and will keep doing so. Well worth the trip down from Perth.
Just spent 4 days at this Excellent Scottish fishery, owners really friendly & will always try to help you, but at the end of the day if you don't catch keep trying because the fish are there in large quantities. Not just a carp puddle plenty of choice of fish to catch. Toilets on site & well stocked tackle shop, rules are straight forward to follow so respect the owners & adhere to them.
What a fantastic place to stay and fish, my friend and I stayed last weekend, 27-29 August, we pitched in one of the most picturesque places on the whole fishery right next to the pizza oven. Chris, John and Carole made us feel extremely welcome. We fished , Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Wallace, Queensbury and Bruce's acre. The fishing was phenomenal, Neil broke his PB three times due to the quality and number of fish coming out of the water. His largest being an 8lb 8oz common. The fishery was extremely busy, but the facilities were always spotless, the toilet and shower must have been cleaned hourly. The fishery tackle shop is very well stocked and competitively priced too. All in all we had what can only be described as an amazing fishing and camping weekend, can't wait to go back.
Just got home from a 3 day fishing trip at Broom Fisheries. First ever visit, thanks to Carol, John and staff, made most welcome, very friendly, great tackle shop and all the bait that you need. On my list for another visit soon. Oh I did catch plenty of fish.
My husband Ian and I have used this caravan site on several occasions. It is the the perfect place for any one that likes fishing or just wanting peace and quiet. It is also great for wildlife both on site and from the shore of the Solway Firth, with beautiful sunsets. Carole and John and the staff are so friendly and very helpful and keep the site facilities immaculate. It really is a gem.
We stayed here for 4 nights in the new Ella Pod, not having to set up a tent or beds makes the trip so much easier and comfortable, there’s even tea and coffee provided! The private pond outside has some decent sized Carp and also the usual perch bream and roach. The other lakes are well equipped and great fun also. All the facilities are there including a pizza oven! We will definitely be coming back but probably for longer.
What a fantastic place well worth a visit definitely will be back.very friendly and very helpful also a great tackle shop with everything you need and more can't wait to go back Thanks Karl
I was new to this type of fishing and can't recommend it enough ,first class couple of days 10 + fish on day one and just under 40 on day two, two days of pure bliss and excitement . Excellent tackle shop on site with plenty of stock and the staff could not have been better with advice and tips ,simply superb
The fish are in a good state, good facilities, nice and quiet area, not to far from the sea shore. Price is acceptable and its a good place to spend a days fishing. So yes, will visit again.
Recently stayed in the Rowan static caravan for couple of nights. Really lovely tranquil site, plenty of walks , through the woods or down to the beach. The caravan itself was spotlessly clean, had everything you need for a peaceful relaxing stay. The decking area was nice with views out to one of the lakes. Lots of wildlife to spot. I will hopefully be back.
