This station is served by the Central line there are toliets available on the platforms. No disabled access as there is stairs to platform 1 and a small set of steps outside the station entrance. The ticket barriers are always open here and not many staff around. Ticket hall area is very small.
Toilets for men east bound, women's toilets westbound, Open until late. Nice clean station.
A quaint little station . It's got a nice little shop that serves drinks & pastries. It's got a rural feel with wooden features & flower beds. Well maintained & clean toilets, with paper ! The ticket office is sometimes manned. There is No disabled access, as there are steps & stairs into the station & over the bridge to the other platform.nnUpdate: the small kiosk shop is currently closed
An interesting lively place with many many cafes & restaurants.nA good butchers, the Ginger Pig & a good Fish shop, further along towards the George pub Weatherspoon.nnThey say its closing, so sad, always busy & good prices, we will all be lonely people soon, 'they' keep taking the fun out of life, which can be very stressfulnA Toby carvery is near Wanstead Station.nnA market on the 1st Sunday of month, lots of food stalls & gooey cakes & pies.nnGood bus service here & green spaces, like Wanstead Park.nAbout a mile from the George or enter the other side of park.
The Foxwells station kiosk is convenient, has friendly staff, and good pastries. One of the few stations with reasonably clean toilets, and the TfL staff are friendly though perpetually understaffed, and the garden is a nice touch excellent sweet figs. Yes the accessibility for journeys heading west needs to be improved, but it's planned for 2024.
