Plus: We made a wrong selection of manual car online and he helped us kindly and patiently to upgrade it into an automatic one. We use that car to enjoy a pleasant journey around England.
From start to finish the team from SIXT Newcastle Airport are professional, Helpful, friendly and welcoming. The car was nice and the price was more than reasonable. Big shout out to Jay Representative He made the hand back really easy then dropped me off at my hotel. Service doesn’t get much better than that, I highly recommend for your car hire.
I had seen mixed reviews before I rented here Newcastle airport but I can only say that the staff were very friendly and professional, the service was excellent and I got a free upgrade. I had a flat tire during the rental but the emergency service to replace it was very good. No hassles when I returned the car, again, the staff handled it all so well. I will certainly consider SixT for my next rental.
They've moved to the car hire lot directly beside the Newcastle airport terminal Yay!. The agent was very kind, friendly, and efficient - especially when we had to switch cars because of our misjudgment of room required to haul the amount of luggage we had. He was able to find a car that suited our needs immediately no small feat as it was Christmas season and cars are in short supply. Anyway, this is the first time I've booked through SIXT and I will do so again in the future. Totally recommend.
They filled my age as 33 automatically on the system without my awareness then when I went to collect the car was told I had to pay almost £45 when I informed them of my correct age. Why would I lie about my age when I know I'm going to provide evidence later on? The guy who rented the car was so apologetic and informed that this has happened to other people and that I needed to contact Sixth for a refund. I contacted Sixt and they completely wriggled out of every responsibility and refused to pay me back my refund claiming I had put the age of 33. Last time I'll ever be hiring from Sixth again! And I'd advise everyone else to stay away from them if you don't want to pay any hidden charges after hiring your car. Not to mention the terrible customer service. They closed my case twice whilst I was trying to chase up the issue, hoping that I'd be too busy to notice. Horrendous service.

No deposit repaid into my account 7 days after I returned car to Newcastle Airport when I was told I would have it back in 2 days. Still waiting. No one returning my calls and impossible to contact any of the customer service team. Would NOT recommend
I have never experienced such good service from any company. Mohamed and Mohamed go above and beyond expectations. My flight was late, Mohamed waited for me. On my return he took my case which was heavy to the terminal. I’m retired but when working I would employ him without question.
After a five day car hire after, I woke up to find SIXT had tried to take FOUR AND A HALF THOUSAND POUNDS out of my account because of "excess mileage" despite not receiving any invoice or notification. Called "Customer Services" for them to tell me I'd driven 3,000 miles+ over my allowed 500 in a five day period! That's 3,500 miles in 5 days 700 miles a day - the equivalent of driving from my UK address to EASTBOURNE and back EVERY DAY. And then you have the audacity to send a link to a Customer Service Questionnaire, asking for a favourable review! FYI, I calculated my own mileage using Google Maps, adding all of the actual journeys during my 5 day hire - it adds up to no more than 205 miles. Gross incompetance at this level is bordering on criminal, and I expect not only my £300 excess back immediately but also an apology and a full refund.
Most friendly car hire staff I've ever encountered, but also efficient and knowledgeable. Easy to find. Great car. Thoroughly recommend.
