Booked online at 3pm the previous day. Arrived at the office which is miles from the airport and was first told that they didn't have any cars in the size I'd ordered... and it took them another couple of minutes to realise that they didn't have any cars at all because they'd just rented their last one out. (I was offered one with 2mm worn tread on the tires but unsurprisingly I declined this!) Both staff members rude, refused to take any responsibility and said it was all the booking agents' fault - one of them did eventually offer an apology after about 5 minutes. After reading the reviews below, seems like I had a lucky escape. Avoid.

A very nervy rent!!!

Never again. Situated off-airport, shabby office (very nice staff though, but up against it through no fault of their own). As soon as you walk in you are faced with an 'in-your-face' list of things you'll be charged for with a hefty excess, starting from a minor hairline and very superficial scratch up to a full on smash because it supposedly costs the company to have these rectified.

When my car was ready (and having read reviews far too late but still nevertheless armed with other people's woes), I examined every inch of the car painstakingly by flash light. I photographed and got them to list numerous (and I mean numerous) scratches, scuffs, and dents from the roof, to the wing mirrors, to the main body, to the alloy wheels, to the underbody. So much for the so called 'repair cost excesses levied, what repairs? Or had the previous renter caused all the identified faults.

During the rental I parked miles from any obstacle and found sleeping difficult knowing thar the car was parked in the open air during the night!!

Upon my return, the agent was pleased to see me because Easirent had overbooked by seven or so customers but only ONE car was available that night!! What a nice surprise for people arriving on incoming flights. It was Boxing Day Night!! Poor customers.

The staff were really nice at least, very decent people. 

Go for a company like Enterprise in my opinion and enjoy your rental car.

The service Easirent provided for me was second to none. The hire price was not only lower than any other hire firm I had come across, but the van they loaned to me was practically brand new, so it was incredibly economical and a real pleasure to drive.

The staff at the Newcastle Airport branch were all absolutely lovely, and it was obvious that they cared for their customers. I for one, definitely felt that I was looked after the whole time. It's not often you can go into a corporate venue and experience this level of sincerity and care!! Plus the staff had a real lightness about them and a sense of humour to go with it. And so I commend this company and will return again and again for their services!

I would award these people (namely Allan and Andy) 10 gold stars if the option was here, because all boxes were ticked, as well as several unexpected ones too!
