Great bar we stumbled across on the way back from Kelham Island to the city centre. Really good range of drinks available, great outdoor space and really relaxed and welcoming vibe indoors. Dart board also available
Friendly old-school pub, with a great selection of ales on tap. Ales regularly change and include a good mix of pale, bitter, stouts and craft etc. Apparently 80 whiskies available too. Atmospheric decor of old brewery pump clips and memorabilia. Toilets were clean. There's an outside courtyard. Sausage rolls/pork pies and crisps available.
This place is a little gem in Sheffield with such welcoming atmosphere! Great selection of beer, whiskey and gin for very reasonable prices! We've visited several times since we moved in, and it was always a great experience. They also have a lovely seating area outside!
Exactly my type of pub. Quirkily decorated, friendly staff and a great choice of ales. I’m looking forward to having a longer visit there!
Great pub alas no real cider on my last 4-5 visits. There are bag in box ciders made from concentrate and artificial flavouring but nothing ‘real’ - this could easily be improved upon and brought back up to the standard it was a few years ago.
Excellent Sheffield pub near the Kelham Island Museum. Eight cask beers on handpump when I visited including three imperial stouts ranging in strength from 10.6 to 12.0 abv! Lots of outdoor seating some of it covered.
Argyle on tour. Needed a real ale after getting thumped by Wednesday!! This place is cool. Took a bit of time to find it. It has bags of character, is well frequented and a cracking ambiance. No frills....just a good choice of beers and snacks. Happy staff buzzing around. Most of the walls are covered in beer mats and paraphernalia of all things pubby....just created a word...haha....It does live music but tonight there was a private do upstairs...
On our recent visit to Sheffield which included an evening out visiting the local pubs and sampling the beer this was the highlight of the evening for me. The pub has lots of different areas and is querky in a good way, certainly lots to take in and seems to appeal to all ages. Nice, helpful staff and a really good range of beers and other drinks on offer. Will certainly revisit next time I'm in Sheffield.
A lovely place with really great staff and a lovely friendly atmosphere, an amazing selection of drinks and a lovely outdoor area too!
Old fashioned character hostelry. Great choice of beers. Friendly staff. Enjoyed their beer festival with 40+ cask beers available. A must visit for any cask ale enthusiast.
