It's been a while since I stayed at the Seymour Arms. The last time was a good few years ago. Back then it was a typical pub with some rooms. Nothing of note!! My usual accommodation was full so I took a chance. OMG they have really, really done this place up. The bar area is now amazing and very trend looking. Staff are attentive without being over the top. The place oozes class whilst maintaining it's country theme. I opted for the bar food but there are more prestige options available. Prices aren't cheap but not sharp to the wallet. Food was hot and of good quality. Accommodation isn't accessed from the pub it's done from the outside at the rear of the pub. There is a ramp from the car park for wheel chair access. The accommodation is of a high standard for pub accommodation. I had a room near the front of the pub and there was noticeable road noise. It should be pointed out that Blagdon isn't the sleepy village it looks like. There is a high volume of traffic due to the farms and local large businesses so it can be noisy till quite late. The pub has a reasonable sized car park at the rear. Great place that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone. Family friendly. I expect it's a great place if your into fishing due to the proximity of Blagdon lake.

One of the best Sunday roasts I’ve had in a pub/restaurant. My wife ordered the beef Sunday roast and I ordered the beef pie. Hearty and good sized, delicious wine gravy and great pastry on the pie. Nice staff and a nice open space in a lovely village.

Called in for a light lunch on spec, and was very pleasantly surprised. Lovely interior and ambiance; shared a sandwich lunch with hubby - just as well, as it was very generous. Very helpful and pleasant girl serving at the bar too. Will definitely visit again.

Couldn't fault this place. Fantastic service, so welcoming and friendly. The rooms were very spacious and clean. We had dinner and drinks here also and it was an open mic night. Food was very tasty with many options. Atmosphere was great, very busy. The locals were also really nice. Would love to go back.
