We had a great time over Easter break for one week. We stayed in a lodge with hot tub, with 2 small children. (Frankly the hot tub made the break for me. It felt private too, behind the boards on the deck, which I was a little worried about). We loved the swimming pool, hubby enjoyed the gym/sauna, children loved the kids clubs and kids play area. The lodge itself was smashing (everything you could need was there and easy to relax). Weather in Somerset left a lot to be desired but we still had an excellent time thanks to the resort.

Beautiful site. Facilities and scenery are amazing. Restaurant serves good food and is not expensive. A special Thank you to Melissa and Melanie in the spa for the treatments, best ever. Cannot fault this place one bit. Will be coming back for sure 😊

Very relaxing and chilled week, even with the kids. Lodge was superb. Our little-uns were too young for the Hot Tub, making it the perfect evening escape location once they were in bed. Loads of activities and places locally to visit, would recommend.

Amazing lodge holiday. Our Brunel Elegance lodge was lovely and very well-equipped. We especially enjoyed the hot tub. We decided to visit Cheddar Woods after enjoying Hawkchurch Resort. Now we're looking at the other lodges from Darwin Escapes! From a child-friendly point of view, both twin rooms in this lodge are able to accommodate the travel cot provided which was a standard size Red Kite. Also the steps to the lodge are gated which is reassuring for those with toddlers. In the non-elegance lodges there are open steps and you may not be able to fit a cot in the twin rooms!

Had a great time here. Fantastic links to Bristol. Lodge was very clean and tidy. Beds were extremely comfy. Food was fantastic and staff very friendly. Hot tub was an incredible treat. We came with two young children both with autism, and they coped superbly. Couldn't recommend more and can't wait to return!
