Ordered a taxi to the airport in advance for early morning. Got phoned that morning, advised of price change which was fine. Was told the taxi would be 5 minutes, didn't turn up, phoned the service centre twice and was lied to. Taxi eventually turned up almost 30 minutes late. Had to pay the extra in cash despite the operator telling me i could pay by card, so another lie. Driver was fine, it was the service centre that was the issue. Used to be a great firm, not anymore.
The driver was polite, not over chatty and l, even though I had a little under the cost of the journey, let me pay with what I had. Also super fast, took about 3 minutes to arrive. Definitely use them again, much cheaper and more reliable than Uber!
I continued to use this service because it was the first taxi service I experienced in my area and they were reliable then. Now, not so much! A few times they showed up late and I brushed it off, but now they don't even show up at all - even when they have been pre-booked!! The service has definitely gone down hill, find a firm more reliable.
Very poor reliability turning up 15-30 minutes late. When running late operators also not honest about how long the taxi will be. Used to be reliable but not anymore. Made me miss my train this morning despite allowing plenty of time. Could also not provide an appropriate receipt. Will not be using going forwards.
Telephone call answered promptly. Taxi arrived on time. The driver came to the door to pick up my case when he saw me put it down in the porch whilst I locked the door. Much appreciated. Price was as stated when I enquired when booking. Happy with the service and tipped the driver. Thanks
Abysmal. Booked a taxi 6 hours in advance, advising that I needed to catch a train. Taxi didn’t turn up at the arranged time and, when I called and asked if the taxi was on its way, was told “no sorry”. Had to arrange a last minute alternative but missed my train to London, costing me £150! Use at your own risk.
Just got a taxi from Sale, and I really cannot fault the female taxi driver. Initially we were just going to Sale station but opted to go right to Chorlton St bus station which was a fair price and the driver was faultless. We will definitely use you again and a big thumbs up to the lady driving
Used to be a good taxi firm and has recently become very poor. Twice in the last month we have booked on both occasions they have been late and I have had to chase them. On chasing them only then is a taxi allocated. No point in pre-booking. Uber appears more reliable these days.
Car available when other firms' cars weren't, arrived quickly, everything smooth and pleasant. Will try Scotts Cars first next time. Edit : I did try Scotts first the next time, and the experience was perfect. I use taxis often and I'm fed up with taxis promising everything but turning up late with no apology, unfriendliness, no offer of help when needed. So Scotts are top of my list now. Thank you.
Dreadful experience with these guys - prebooked a taxi for short journey to work given a temporary mobility issue and taxi still hadn't shown up after 40 minutes. Rang office 3 times during that time to be fobbed off with "it'll be 5-10 mins madam, we're busy" every time. I've been fobbed off with that line before so asked if that was a genuine timescale or just something they say, the guy's reply was "I don't know I'll check madam" so clearly it is BS, evidenced by the fact they never showed after 40 mins but were supposedly always 5-10 mins away...not good enough and meant I was v late to work. Had to ring a friend to pick me up and drop me off instead because I lost confidence taxi would ever come, and after my 3rd phone call to their office my taxi "mysteriously" disappeared from the tracker, I don't think the guy I spoke to cared at all. These guys used to be good for airport runs but I won't be using them again.
