Lured me in with a low fare on their app, then increased it by over 40% on the evening! He also went the long way, which probably contributed to this. Driver also did not willingly accept card payment, which the app stated was an acceptable means of payment. However, I will be generous and give them 3 stars, since they were reliable. But will not use them again, and stick to Uber next time!
I rate Metro Taxis very highly. Telephone staff and drivers are very professional, respectful, friendly. Always turn up when they say they will, very honest if they are busy and normally state how long the "wait" will be. Cannot fault them at all. I would recommend them. Carole
I only rang to ask the update and he’d already hung up on my mum who was just asking for an update, he said we should have known that the text service wasn’t working and we should be stood waiting outside for a driver to arrive I said sorry but we didn’t know the text service went working as no one told us and he said well you should have been waiting for them. Same thing he said to my mum and then hung up on her and I rang and said she didn’t know that to try and organise another taxi and he hung up on us as well. Ridiculously rude and aggressive. Shameful from a company we would normally use and trust.
The taxi was prearranged by UKBiobank as that was where I was going to and they have an account with Metro Taxis. The driver was early and waiting for me when I came out of the station, polite and friendly and pointed out the reception door when we arrived. Really good service.
I've been using Uber for months with mixed service. Noticed that they were getting less reliable on the whole and I was fed up. I gave Metro a call and have not regretted it!! Cheaper, faster to arrive, and actually meet you at the correct place!!
Arrived on time - well actually a couple minutes early, which was nice. Kept us notified that booking had been made and which car to look out for. Good quick journey too. Thanks metro
Excellent service. As soon as I ordered the taxi it showed up just as I was leaving the house to wait. Plasent driver and felt very safe.
I had an important hospital appointment and was told the taxi would be ten to fifteen minutes, after several callbacks and attempts to track the service it arrived sixty four minutes after the initial call. I do not like being lied to.
Very efficient taxi service. You are kept up-to-date with the progress of your booking at all stages. Like most taxi services, depending upon various circumstances, can be busy at times. Metro really looks after my blind friend. The drivers are always very courteous and help my friend into and out of the taxi. Can definitely recommend.
Didn’t tell me when booking the taxi that it was double time! And the guy put the phone down on me when I called back. Generally a good polite service but disappointed after this occasion.
