There are some pretty damn confusing and underrated buildings in Scotland, this is one of them. You have to see it from the inside to fully appreciate the genius architecture; there is not a straight wall in the place! If you like brutalist architecture mixed with stunning scenery, you will love this place. Avoid the canteen and eat at Black Grape, you’re welcome.
The building itself is unique, and while it’s just okay for the average visitor, it’s definitely more fascinating if you’re into politics, history, or how government works. Worth a look if you’re nearby. Very baby friendly :
Stepping into the Scottish Parliament was both exciting and enlightening. The modern architecture of the building immediately caught my eye, with its bold and distinctive design that contrasts beautifully with Edinburgh’s historic charm. Everything inside felt open, bright, and thoughtfully arranged.nnI found it fascinating to learn more about Scotland’s political life and to explore the areas open to visitors. The emphasis on transparency and accessibility was impressive, and the whole experience left me with a deeper appreciation for Scotland’s democratic values.
Fantastic experience. We did the tour inside this beautiful parliament, and we were stunned about the history and the design. It is totally worth visiting the Scottish Parliament while you visit Edinburgh
Amazing building of the Scottish parliament. They do allow public tours and the inside was remarkable. They also have a lovely cafe inside.
