We visited the alexandra suite for our marriage today, it was wonderful. We had the most perfect registrar, who only wanted to make our day perfect. The suite was lovely, everything we needed. I would recommend to anyone.
Sister got married here on 9 October under very strict Covid conditions. Only 2 guests 13 is maximum, everyone masked, screens all over the place, social distancing in force. Even so, the staff did their very best to make it a special day. Beautiful flowers, lovely room, both the Registrar and her assistance were determined to give her a memorable occasion despite the extraordinary circumstances. Many thanks to all concerned and highly recommended as a wedding venue.
My Husband and I decided to have our legal wedding in Edinburgh before our main celebration abroad. We’re an international couple, so given our circumstances, there was a bit more paperwork and complexity when submitting our notice to marry. Note: it was quite a bit more expensive too. But, the team at the City Chambers was so helpful with our questions. In particular, I wanted to thank Jill and Kirsty for fielding our emails with patience. Once we arrived in Edinburgh, days before, they graciously gave us a tour of the space so we could get a better feel for the flow of the day. The venue has been beautifully renovated and purpose-built. I was really blown away. Overall, the space felt warm and welcoming. And the views from the Guest Lounge will wow your guests. The day of, though a bit rushed, was seamless thanks to Suzanne and Kyle. All in all, we’re really happy with our choice and we’d genuinely recommend the City Chambers for your wedding ceremony whether you’re looking for something modern, modest, or intimate. It still felt special and momentous without being overwhelming, stressful, or cost prohibitive. Also, importantly, our marriage license arrived promptly to our address abroad. The City Chambers is organized and empathetic. A win-win, really.

Edinburgh City Chambers is situated in a lovely area of Edinburgh. It is along the Royal Mile and faces opposite the Mercat Cross. It is a designated building and you really can't miss it when and if you walk along the Royal Mile. Designed by John Adam in 1753, the main building is behind the magnificent facade that is iconic. So the main building is behind the groin vaulted open arcade. Worth a visit!

We had a small legal paper signing here on Monday and the staff were incredible! Things are still a little tense and completely not the norm because of Coronavirus but staff made us feel totally at ease. We had the joy of working with Anne and Heather, fantastic ladies who made the ceremony fun and were just truly lovely people. Place is gorgeous and surrounded by beautiful urban scenery.
