I applied for a transit e-visa through the Saudi Embassy’s online portal, which promised a response within 3 days. After no reply for 10 days and no answers to my calls and emails, I visited the embassy in person. Thankfully, the staff, particularly a helpful lady, processed my visa quickly after taking my documents and instructed me to return the next day. While the in-person experience was efficient, the website did not mention that a visit might be necessary, and the overall online process was confusing. The embassy should improve online communication and clarify the application process on their website.
Mixed feelings about getting a transit visa with Saudi embassy. Originally advised via phone it would only cost around $10 for the transit visa medical insurance cost only applicable & would just have to attend embassy after the application with no appointment. Had technical issues and couldn’t get past the medical insurance selection page, so unable to pay. Technical support was unable to assist as they didn’t understand the issue: after trying on a different browser my iphone I could pay it was $25 not $10 after admin fees etc and the visa status was “sent to embassy”. Emailed embassy to advise I needed it promptly, after reading bad views online taking upto 3 weeks, to which I got an email response the next day to advise to book a tasheer appointment which was no issue until I realised an appointment cost ranged from £57-£127. I decided to visit the embassy direct during my lunch break no queue; after explaining the issue the receptionist again referred me to the tasheer site. After complaining and stating they told me it was for free; the receptionist was helpful and sorted it taken my passport & WITHIN 1 hour I had my transit visa. Update - after responding complaining to the email advising me to make an appointment with tasheer via email before attending the embassy in person; one day later I got an email to attend the embassy and they will process for FREE. Very disappointed they want people with a transit visa to pay £57-£127 for an appointment with tasheer when they originally state it would only cost $10 even though it was really $25 after admin & service fees. Seems like a money making motive. Prompt service provided by embassy in person however, especially as phone calls to them are auto put down after around 1 hour on the phone. Hope this helps others.
We applied and paid 6 e-visa online and gave them the arrival date and flight number and once we got there they refused to let us in without paying for new visa again. Disgusting.
poor CS , no one answers calls, applied evisa twice , paid visa fee £84 twice and through agents - no visa, no refund , hame on saudi governemnt, making money off people due to umrah and hajj , shame less creatures
I applied for transit visa through ksavisa.sa and had no clue or instructions what to do next. Waited for three weeks before ended up reading these reviews. Thanks @Muhammed Bilal for your review. I could get a quick response via email for details of doc submission though. When I visited Saudi embassy, they redirected me to Tasheer, the Agent they transferred the process of transit visa, from now onwards. They didn't announce this decision anywhere including ksavisa.sa or via email, which was very unfortunate :. When I visited Tasheer, they were not ready to process my application telling they can't access my application, returned home with zero outcome :, just wasted lot of time, energy and money An incomplete and broken transfer of process to Tasheer.!. After a series of email, finally they processed my visa in embassy for last time. The guy in the embassy reception didn't have the patience to listen what customer tells or to look at instructions your received via email. it needs a bit of an effort to make them understand the issue you are facing... The system and the way to deal with the people needs to be matured a lot.:
Made a mistake on my visas, which had to be cancelled in order for me to put through new applications, tried calling several times for 1 hour each time only to get hung up on as the line cuts out at 1 hour. Decided to go to the embassy after reading another review and the 2 brothers at the embassy, may Allah SWT reward them both in abundance, ameen! They helped me in a matter of minutes! They were so kind and helpful - even to the point of showing me exactly what to do visa the website! I got my new visas and now going umrah in sha Allah! FYI - google might not be updated with times etc but the embassy twitter page seems to be updated quite frequently so have a look at that for office closures etc. Another tip - if you have made mistakes on your eVisa via the nusuk app eVisa website, it will need to cancelled because it cannot be amended once issued. Process the cancellation of this visa by contacting embassy, that can take some time, but you can put in a new eVisa waiver if youre from uk via mofa website whilst waiting for the other one to be cancelled. Id advise to have a record of this just incase you get questioned on it. Hope this helps!
I absolutely feel safe whenever I get an issue outside of Saudi when this embassy is here.
They don’t open at 9am if you’re planning to visit the door will open at 10am. It’s a shame that The Saudi Government doesn’t allow people to perform Umrah/hajj for the people who holds Refugee Travel Document !!
Applied for a transit visa on MOFA had no idea what to do next waited for 2 months, after trying sevral times to speak to someone over the phone we we're told you have to take your passport and tickets to the embassy. Make sure to get to the embassy 9am they will take your passports and get the visa done either same day or next day. You can ask them to send your passport back to you via post. Overall it was a very easy process only if you know what to do.
Very welcoming ! Excellent service , Courteous staff And so efficient including the security guards on the door ! It’s also rather an attractive interior !
