I wish I could give them zero stars, as they are THE WORST Tax Authority in Europe. They still live in 80s and use cheques insteadofbank transfers. But it's impossible to get one. I'm waiting over a year for a cheque with overpaid tax. They just keep pretending sending them. Disaster! I'm not surprised that the UK is called 3rd country by European Union.
They take 20% or even more of our income every month yet they can't pick up the phone at a reasonable time. Still on hold and it's been over 20 mins!
I don't understand after all this years of bad reviews this sistem continues with the same issues, why don't we have private companies working for the HMRC, cause otherwise this would never change, as the employees they think they have guaranteed salary for the rest of their life, working or not Absolute scandal this government, How can I cannot get verified after 7 years living in UK gave all my documents and nothing. Hilarious is when you go NHS or police they verified you in seconds. And I can't even take more calls cause they just don't talk with someone that has a different accent
AWFUL SERVICE!!! You can`t speak to an actual human. A robot will tell you that they will put you through to someone and then just hung up on you after telling you to go to their website. Do these people do any actual work?? When my colleague updated his details on their website, they completely ignored it and still requested his employer to call them. They didn`t forget to send him a letter with how much he owes them of course! I think that`s all their employees do, sending threatening letters to people. Disgusting!
I registered for vat both online and via post and these useless self serving beings took so long to Answer the call On numerous occasions and when I Contacted them they said contact us After 40 days a deliberate attempt to Throw ones business under the bus And suit their hidden agenda . anyways as it stands hmrc are absolutely useless even after Making one participate in their Online survey they still fail to Act upon the honest opinion of The public what to expect from a Government organisation posing To be the corporate tax body of Uk government but all in all they Are an absolute joke out of touch And unfit for purpose if anything
Impossible to reach. You can talk to a robot that's just reading their website content forever, they are literally making fun of people. . Of course they refuse to communicate online, you have to use letters and hope they won't get lost. Dinosaurs were more modern than HMRC.
Worst service i’ve ever gone through, everyone who works for hmrc makes it seem like their losing money from their own pockets when you ask them for help, always takes over an hour for them to answer calls always saying were very busy. They need to hire more people who are competent and actually do the job correctly, absolutely absurd service
NI refund letter sent and received by HMRC on 2nd September 2022, still waiting for my refund! More than 27weeks upon receipt they have not actioned still! Apparently there's a lot of backlog! 27 weeks not acceptable because when it comes to NI deductions it should be right there and then but when it comes to HMRC giving our refunds, it takes FOREVER!!!!
Disappointing. After almost an hour of waiting with that music, a lady named Uma/Oma? answered. At first it was okay but then wasn’t able to help us with continuing our concern and when we were asking her what can we do next, she hung up the phone rudely. She doesn’t even sound happy to help us as well. Very poor service.
