I didn't use the building or even went inside and only passed it. This building is ugly and looks like it was designed from a collective of architects from former communist countries insisted on designer a building to be "practical". The front of the building has a statue depicting the spirit of trade unionism helping to lift a downtrodden worker. That statue is just about the only interesting thing about this building and walking past the building will be enough to see it.
Grade II Listed Modernism completed in the late 50's effortlessly retains a contemporary air and edge. A significant Jacob Epstein statue in the enclosed courtyard adds gravitas to this modestly assured building functioning as a Trade Union HQ. Public not admitted.
Any organisation in favour of punishing millions of innocent commuters, already paying through the nose for train tickets, just so they can line their pockets is not a good organisation. Should really be ashamed of yourselves.
They were kind and inviting. There was art from those living in London, and part of the Commonwealth. It was organised well by Zita, and had Neville Lawrence as keynote speaker. This artwork features Prince Terralox. Him, Antonietta, Tobey, Mica, and others have stalls over the weekend.
Hart of the Trade Union Movement I've attended countless times over the past year with Amicus and Unite Union's. Just attended my latest meeting at Congress House the Unite Executive Council meeting to nominate our candidates for Leader and Deputy of the Labour Party. It's a ugly building but who cares it's about what takes place in side.
A lovely venue equipt with a very large suite for any event
This building houses all things that are Union Central only a short walk from the tube station the building itself is a little bit dated but the meeting rooms are light and airy good access as it is in Central London
Can’t wait for the union bust this later week. Replace all lazy, entitled, selfish workers with agency staff.
Superb location for meetings and conferences and very good value for a venue right in the heart of London
Great meeting venue
