Nehru Centre for the first time. A program called Healing with Music caught my attention. It’s absolutely free entry. I was surprised how powerful and comforting music can be.
A great place for arts and culture. The venue is very well maintained and organises high quality programs regularly. Centrally located in London.
Attended Baithak’s concert celebrating Tagore. Splendid production and great auditorium for a small audience. However, I wish the elevator was working — it made the event inaccessible to several senior citizens.
Attended a social event last evening. An old, well maintained building. Historic, seeing that it dates back to Krishna Menon's time. It is run by the Indian High Commission and has several rooms that are large enough to hold meetings of about 50 people in each room. I was impressed with the auditorium.
I have performed here several times and like performing here as the location is central and easy for people to get to. Staff are helpful in facilitating everything. Only issues are only 1 toilet per gender assigned and lack of adequate dressing room which makes it very difficult for performers. The stage is also very small and needs improvising. I love the old world ambience with slatted windows, high ceilings and heavy doors. If they can allocate a dressing room for performers that would be very helpful.
I was there for a release of a book. While I was there was an art exhibition. The place is owned by the Indian High Commissioner. Every week there is and exhibition. Check it out.
Love this place, really enjoyed the flute concert! Very friendly and cosy environment. Clean toilets.
Splendid building in South Audley Street Mayfair close to Mount Street that has great Musical & Cultural Events. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.
Very good experience, thoroughly enjoyed watching young girls performing classical dances, wearing colourful costumes and music was also enjoyable and their team leader explained meaning of story before start of their dance which made it more interesting and understanding the meaning of the whole concept.
It was nice to actual Bollywood actor/directors talking about their experiences and difficulties they have faced as actors and directors will definitely be looking at other events
