Staff on reception are more helpful now. Getting through to pharmacy impossible. It’s so stressful when our review of medication comes up as there is no one in pharmacy answering phones at any time and when you leave a message it is never followed through. They are letting down a reasonably good medical practice.
Great surgery. I have a tendamcy to forget to order my repeat prescription however, they always issue one at short notice with no problem. Unlike other reviews, I've never had a major issue getting an appointment. Staff always pleasant and helpful.
Told my daughter that she needed a medication review before they could issue any more medication for her anxiety. Then we were told that there were no appointments for a review, so have taken her off her meds cold turkey. Five months later, still no review and still no meds. Absolutely disgusting, and a danger to life!
Horrid staff I suffer with bipolar disorder I requested a prescription for lithium before my medication review. I was told I couldn't be represcribed and medication until the review had been done phoned up everyday saying that I am nearing closer to having no medication I understand that your busy but to tell someone when you run out of medicine and I state GO COLD TURKEY is very offensive changed doctor's after this had to go to out of hours for a medication review
If you're able to get an appointment then good, but that's only if you're lucky. I called them over 200 times before just to make an appointment to see a nurse for my pill. Yeah let's just say I wasn't seeing a nurse that day. I've also made an appointment for a certain time but got seen over half hour past my time slot. What's the point me asking for a 10am slot of I don't end up getting seen until gone half 10!?
My mother is 87 was suffering for over a year no back up or after care she needed iron infusion to pep her up no follow up from hospital who had sent info to keep a check on her a complete lack of duty of care. Looking into legal action
I went online to order my medication as I do every month. I noticed that I couldn't order as it was my annual review. I phoned the surgery twice in a 48 hours and left a message on both occasions to get this sorted. The reason I phoned is that they said on the automated call that we are not to come to the surgery if possible. I had no reply to both my calls. I eventually went to the surgery and stood outside in the Covid line. I spoke to a young man who assured me this would be sorted by the end of the day as the doctor would need to sign it off. The next day I went online, again nothing updated. This surgery really needs a shake up, they are extremely unprofessional. Dismal in fact, I am really speechless to be honest.
The service at this surgery is appalling. Have been trying to do a medication review since 3rd of October have done everything they have asked me to do and still no joy. Also apparently doctors are so busy they don’t do the reviews anymore the pharmacist do them REALLY!!!! Whoever is leading Sandy health centre are a joke and need to get their act together and get this practice back on track
Awful, 111 just said my wife needed antibiotics to treat a secondary infection as she has tested positive for covid suffers asthma & very prone to chest & other infections she is getting worse & is frightened . Receptionist basically told her tough S*** we have no appointments, even correcting her when she used the word appointment but meant prescription. so 111 say she needs medication but GP unwilling to help
I had a serious accident at school, my mum phoned the doctors for advice and they said ‘bring her in though there might be a two hour wait’ we got there I sat down as she was checking me in and the woman who was on the phone who had a American accent said ‘this is not a emergency there’s no appointments come back at 12:50 tomorrow which is today 07-1-19my mum tried explaining how much of a emergency it actually was asked her to take a look and she said ‘it’s not a emergency ‘ so we went to Britannia chemist the one next to the chippy to see a guy pharmacist and she said we have to go a&e and as soon as we sit in children’s ward they move us to urgent care because how severe it really was. Now I have a appointment tomorrow 09-1-19 to get metal plates and also having barely any movement in my left hand . Will be changing doctors .
