So lucky that this public space is a 15 min drive or 25 min walk from where I live. Today's visit was to take a family member's dog for a walk. Parked on the common, carried Tilly to the park to protect her pads. Then we went for a circuit of the main park on the grass. Stop off in the shade of trees, drink of water from her bowl. Return journey through the gated water meadow garden before taking up a chillaxation spot on one of the picnic benches. Here Tilly loved watching the kids on the Zip Wire zooming back and to. I always keep her on a lead as there are toddlers, young children as well as people who don't appreciate the close up attention of even a small well meaning dog. Great 1½hrs spent enjoying this beautifully equipped and maintained park. Well done Cheshire East Parks & Recreation Department. Playground: Well equipped for all ages Dog-friendliness: Plenty of space to walk, dog waste bins and quieter places to allow well behaved canines off the lead Picnic area: Various 3-4 scattered around the park with picnic benches
Nice little park for a quick stroll with plenty of equipment for children. A bowling green is also there. Needs more lighting for night time but still worth a quick walk around if you are already in town.
Nice little park with plenty of things to do for kids. Dogs have to be kept on a lead and due to the small size there are limited options for walking dogs. A coffee van offers hot and cold drinks as well as small bites. As far as I can tell there are no public toilets. Playground: The playground is in good condition and a nice size. Restrooms: No restrooms Dog-friendliness: Dogs are allowed, but have to be kept on a lead. Picnic area: Nice picnic area with a coffee van selling drinks and nibbles.
A great park for a family day out. Lots of things in the play area, a couple of equipment for the older kids. There are also tennis courts, bowling greens, space to play football and a circular walk.
Fantastic park, great for children of all ages and adults, and free Tennis court.
One of my favourite places to go for a walk lovely views and an easy but pleasant walk around the park which is well maintained and cared for its good to see it used so well and enjoyed by so many folks of all ages and abilities Playground: Good playground with good facilities
Great park. Loved the fact it had play parks for different age children, a bowling green and an outdoor fitness gym. There are plenty of paths to explore the park and a pool at the bottom of the park with a walkway bridge, including a platform to allow pond dipping activities . Great to see people gathered on the large grass area chatting and doing fun leisure activities, and people dog walking and wandering through the park. A very clean and pleasant park that is well used by the public.
Nice park, lots of nature trees, which on a hot day are great to sit under. There is a lake with a wooden walkway. Unfortunately it is very overgrown and smelly at the moment. Hopefully once the pandemic is over it will return to its former glory. Photo is of the beautiful blossom on the horse chestnut trees.
It's a small compact park include tennis, basketball court and tennis table but would be good to get more waste bins
Lovely place for children and alike , if you bring your dogs here please think of others and clean your poo up as some forget :-{ there a lovely park section ideal with different apparatus for older children, and a seperate section next door for the younger children. There's also the basket ball nets and tennis courts, just bring your tennis rackets and ball, its also free to use. Also a free table tennis table just bring your bats and ball. Also free exercise in the park equipment. There's a lovely wildlife walk where you can do pond dipping. Can spend a day here if weather is nice. There's also bowls for the older generation. It's right by the town, so can walk into the town as well to have a look round while your there , also free parking on the commons, but not a lot of parking generally so may have to drive around to find a space .
