One of the cheaper campings available, but it offers a lot of charm. The campground keepers were friendly and ready to help. It's quite basic, but offers cold drinking water and toilets, no showers. It's main convincing point is the stunning view over the lake, which you can access easily from the camp grounds. Just a small warning: There is a ban on alcohol on the camp grounds, so make sure to bring soda and water. We had a great time here!
Very happy with my campsite and the fireplace plus wood. Lovely ward as well. Made friends with a robin and had a swim in the morning.
Was there in November 2022. Couple of people there, but no staff members, water and toilet facilities were closed for season, as expected, but place was very clean, rubbish bins in place. No complaints. Definitely coming back!
Really nice clean site and straightforward check in permits are stapled to the corresponding pitch marker. It is basic with just a washing/drinking water station and a compost toilet. Some reviews mentioned a bad smell but I couldn't pick up on any bad odor. It actually smelt better than a normal public loo so more than I expected. Will use again next year.
Not great, not terrible - a beautiful place to camp near Loch Lomond and that is only reason that I give that campsite 3/5 - beautiful scenery. There is no shower, no any kind of sevices. There's no person to help - if you have a reservation you can camp - but it is only a note that you have space here. I met people who didn't know about the reservation and they didn't have a chance to ask anyone to help them.
Nice peaceful campsite right on the eastern shore of loch lomond. Recommend booking one of the private lochside pitches but the shared camping space is decent too. Firepits and wood are available when booking. Facilities are super basic composting toilets only, no hot water or showers, and midges can be savage, but if you're ok with these then this is truly a gem.
Great wee campsite for a few days away near the water. Can rent a campfire and wood directly from the warden too if you havent booked it online. Has toilets and drinking water available which is great.
Stayed here doing the west highland way. Very basic facilities but a great spot to camp. Washrooms were clean, good washbasin. The loch side camps are well with the extra few pounds and were wonderful.
Absolutely incredible site. We stayed at a Loch side pitch, lots of space for our tent as well as an entire beach section. Toilets though compost, didn't smell at all. Fire and Wood were waiting at the pitch on our arrival extra cost Would highly recommend this Campsite
Beautiful campsite! We stayed for 2 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. Gorgeous views of the lake from our lakeside pitch. Toilets were clean and the warden was very helpful on our arrival. Just be aware that there are no showers on site, and be sure to bring midge repellent!
