A perfect getaway location. With fantastic views of the loch and hills. The team members are so very welcoming. Disabled and pet friendly. It has everything you need. The restaurant has a wide variety of breakfast items and not expensive at all the food is great. Loch goilhead is an amazing place to visit and stay highly recommend for family’s, couples and anyone who wants to get away from everyday life, tranquility at its finest.
With some friends in a 3 bedroom chalet. The village has changed a lot but it is a busy resort in summer. Lots to do, pool, gym, golf, cinema, spa, sports hall but most come with a price tag. Saying that our accommodation was ideal with 3 on suite bedrooms, and jacuzzi. The weather for March was fantastic and the views can not be beaten. Nearby activities: Boat hire, canoe hire, paddleboards all nearby. Nice cafe at the boat hire. Lovely walks.
Lovely site in a fantastic location. Food and drink are great and not overly expensive compared to some other places. Just be prepared for brown water in the toilet and sink that they don't tell you about. There is still normal water in the kitchen and the shower. Doesn't take long to walk into the town. The road in is a single track with passing places, take your time
Had a family holiday here, Monday to Friday. The car ride there felt like I was heading to the Overlook Hotel in the Shining this is awesome. The lodges were fantastic, very clean and spacious. Kids had an absolute ball, so much for them to do like the softplay, swimming, arcade etc. The walks were great, so many places to discover. We will be back in no time. Rooms: Clean and spacious. Comfy beds and we had a en suite bathroom. Nearby activities: We done some walks, arcade, softplay, kids disco and archery but there is plenty more available Walkability: Fantastic place to discover nature. Lots of woodland and the loch near by. Food & drinks: Went to the restaurant once and the food was great. Takeaway place called DCs and Costa coffee at the bar.
My family and I booked a lodge for four days it was the osprey. We viewed it on line and looked lovely. What we arrived to was absolutely horrendous. We had two bedrooms and two rickety fold down beds which when my daughter sat on it it collapsed. Also the two mattresses were stained. The paint work was all chipped windows at sitting and dining area would not close gaps of half inch the window frames were rotten and parts missing on the outside.Bathroom down stairs had no latch at all no lock on door. The sofa had seen better days all stained it was disgusting. One of the radiators looked as if someone had stood on it with purple paint. Two single beds upstairs which my daughter and my two grand daughters were going to use also had stains on the mattresses .The place looked like an absolute hovel.I complained to member of staff about my concerns and I wanted us moved out . She contacted later that day and there was nothing else available. I just felt so bad as I had coaxed my other daughter to come as we had not been on family holiday since they were young. She ended up sleeping on a dirty sofa. A maintenance guy turned up the next day to try and sort out the problems god they should have given him a magic wand how the hell did they expect him to fix rotten windows chipped paint cob webs hanging everywhere poor chap did his best. We received new mattresses..my husband and I gave our double room to my daughter and her two children and my other daughter slept in the bedroom with the two singles beds so they had there own bedroom's my husband and I covered up the two sofas in sitting area with sheets and that is where we slept . I was so disappointed this was absolutely not acceptable accommodation and surely cleaning staff / house keeping new about the disgusting state of this lodge we gave been back home now for three weeks and no attempt has been made to contact us in any way. My husband and I have stayed here before but had a caravan which was absolutely spotless feel so let down. Be very careful when viewing accommodation it maybe not what you get.
Wow wow wow!! No words can Express the beauty of this place. Staff are amazing, food is amazing the walks are incredible. Accommodation is clean and homely. We had such a great week here. Definitely going back in the summerRooms: 5/5
Excellent place for a holiday. We go here at New Year time, and love the scenery, the walks, and the Holiday Village as a whole.. The facilities are due a fresh up, but apparently this is happening as new owners have taken over the whole of the Argyll Holidays Sites.Rooms: 5/5
Quiet and peaceful setting but also has the benefit of the leisure suite, restaurant and bars. Lodges are comfortable and clean. Have been coming here for nearly 30 years and it's better than ever now.Rooms: 5/5
Hotel was lovely. Rooms were spotless and the views were amazing! The food was lovely as well as reasonable. First night we were in room 208 which was really loud… the restaurant/kitchen is right above. I noticed the restaurant closed at 10pm so I thought the noise would stop after then. It did not. When we complained the next day the lovely receptionist could not have been any nicer. She moved us to another room. Offered us free breakfast and to come back again for a night free of charge. We declined the over night stay as the change of room was all we wanted and the breakfast was a great gesture that we did take. As a couple who dont get out much, we absolutely HATE complaining but having a small child who keeps us up a night. We were looking forward to a 2 night childless getaway so the noise might not bother most people but for us it did. Again though… the woman was fantastic as well as all other staff we spoke to during our stay. We will be back and will try a lodge next time with our little one. This is in no way a bad review… just wanted to be honest and we thought the staff handled our complaint perfectly. Thank you
Love Drimsynie visited about 8 times now this is actually our 3rd visit this year. Lovely & peaceful surroundings even when it's fully booked it still feels as if there's hardly anyone around. Dogs are welcome in the bar area of the restaurant & in the pub on site as well as The Goil Inn. Staff are very friendly. Food is decent, some of menu is a bit overpriced but plenty of choice within a budget too. Service is sometimes a little bit slow in the restaurant but didn't really bother us as we were there to relax & chill out not rushing to get a meal in between doing other things. Lots of local walks & the views are just absolutely amazing. The accomodation this time was a bit of a let down, the caravan wasn't the cleanest, it won't put me off going back though.
