Holiday weekend with the family. Stayed in 4 bedroom accommodation. The lodge was nicely decorated, clean, spacious with a well equipped kitchen. Location close to loch Lomond shores. We visited sea life centre which was excellent and took out pedal boats on the loch. Lovely scenic walks about. Would recommend the balloch house to eat a meal.
An excellent stay alround. Lady on reception was professional and very helpful, providing a location map of all the facilities and the locations. The site is well laid out with excellent toilet/shower facilities for male, female and family use. Plenty of hot water in the showers. Pitches are nicely spaced and flat'ish. Would definitely recommended and will definately stay again. Thank you.nnPS: Other guests and their attitudes towards following site rules leave a lot to be desired. One individual early morning outside toilet facilities on her mobile phone while her dog roamed out of sight in the children's play area, no doubt for its morning constitution. Not the fault of the establishment, but appalling guest behaviour.
We stayed in the pod and it's ok for the price but if you can afford it, go to a better place. Major issue is that the Internet is terrible. I have to stand outside the pod in order to get a signal. Also sucks that the small electric heater automatically turns off every 15 minutes or so, so don't depend on it to warm the place throughout the night. On the positive side the bathrooms are clean and showers are hot.
We stayed at the pod and it was cozy! You have to bring your own blankets, pillows etc. The tiny heater was able to heat up the pod fora while but it’ll switch off automatically which was annoying. Wifi sucks though. The shower was amazing! Pod is only suitable for two adults, not wise to bring your kids along. Hot water at night after a long hike is a blessing! Also Scotts are so friendly here
Would recommend to people with motorhomes/campervans. Very short walks to shops,bars,etc. Pitches were good size and the facilities were clean and to a good standard as per all the Wood Leisure sites.
