Milarrochy Bay Camping and Caravanning Club Site
With spectacular views over Loch Lomond, this Club campsite is great for relaxing.
The appeal of our Milarrochy Bay Club campsite has to be its location on the east shore of the stunning Loch Lomond in the Loch Lomond and Trossach’s National Park.
This tranquil campsite is popular with walkers, with the West Highland Way footpath right on the doorstep, while Ben Lomond, the highest mountain in the area, is north of the campsite near Rowardennan. Milarrochy Bay campsite will appeal to boaters and canoeists too with a long loch-side frontage with slipways for boat launching.
After a day’s walking or messing around on the water, this campsite is ideal for just sitting back and soaking up the breathtaking views across the Loch. This 150-pitch campsite welcomes all types of campers. Backpackers using the site can make use on the backpacker facility – a bonus in inclement weather.
South of the campsite in Balloch you can enjoy a guided hike from the Loch Lomond Shores Visitor Centre or follow the Sculpture Trail from Loch Lomond Shores. Hop on a water bus from here too and enjoy a wide range of cruises, some calling in at the Loch’s many islands, or hire a kayak, canoe or pedal boat. The amazing Sea Life Centre is here too and Balloch Castle and Country Park.
Learn about the Scottish folk hero Red MacGregor at the Rob Roy and Trossach’s Visitor Centre at Callendar. Rob Roy’s Cave and Bracklinn Falls are here too.
No trip to Scotland should be without a taste of its favourite tipple. East of Balloch at Blairquhosh the Glengoyne Distillery offers whisky tours and tastings.
