I cannot rate this hospital and their staff any higher from parking attendant cleaning staff coffee shop nurses they were all so helpful courteous cheerful and if your in day surgery you only have to pay 6 pound packing for the whole day but you have to see parking attendant for a packing slip .

Overall a very poorly organised hospital. Myself and my pregnant wife have been to Hemel, Watford and St Albans hospital recently with our pregnancy among other things and found Hemel to be the best by far, follow closely by Watford with St Albans severely lacking. Although the hospital is quite neat and tidy the staff there (that we have encountered) are lacking. The doctor didn't seem to know what he was doing and the appointment seemed a waste of our time, when taking the notes to the reception they just took them without any description of what we had to do next unless we enquired. Overall a very disappointing experience from what we expected to be a good hospital.

If you need urgent care, don't bother going to this hospital. Apparently not a walk-in hospital/A&E. Only with appointment . So how is this different to a normal GP surgery? However , Watford General Hospital was convinced that St Albans H. IS A WALK-IN, and tried to refer me back.

Hi just like to thank all the brilliant staff in bay 2 of De La Mare ward and of course the surgical team for the excellent care I received during my recent Hip operation. Nothing to much trouble. Many thanks again
