Despite arriving on time and paying £5 for parking, I was required to wait for an hour past my scheduled time. Unfortunately, when I was finally seen, it became apparent that the consultant had not had an opportunity to review the referral from my GP ahead of our meeting. Just wonderful!
Visited outpatients for a minor op and the staff were absolutely amazing. Very nervous patient but they put me at ease, explaining the process, so friendly and professional. Even held my hand and played music during the operation to help relax me. Highly recommend, never met such amazing staff !!
Apparently you now need to book for a blood test. This has not been communicated to patients in any way shape of form. Despite being directed to come to this blood clinic by a nurse as I have been doing for 10 years and having driven for 30 minutes to get here staff refused to help despite there being only 1 other patient there.nStaff extremely unhelpful.nEndemic of a broken NHS.
It’s incredible how many Phlebotomists are unable to take my blood whether at a blood clinic, a general hospital or in the private sector. The only Phlebotomist who can do it magically in seconds, is Kim Capel. As a Trainer she is really unique and as she is at Hemel hospital, she is a great advertisement for them.nJacqueline Sidney
I went to the blood department to ask for help booking my appointment as the booking system does not work online, Kim a phlebotomist refused to help me that was sitting in the reception area playing on her phone.nnKim would not look up from her phone and said you have to book it yourself online. I sat down in reception trying for 40 minutes to book the appointment on my phone with no success.nnAs people were coming in asking Hannah and Kim for help with the booking system as it doesn’t work they told them not to worry and take a seat sending them down to have their bloods taken!nnI asked again if they could please help and they told me no you have to book an appointment online when I asked why are you letting other people have their bloods taken because they don’t have an appointment they told me they did, like I did not just hear the conversations that they had with the other people.nnClearly I’m being discriminated against because I’m transgender.
