Had a lovely stay at Rutland site with our tourer. Nice welcome on arrival, fully serviced pitch and a pool to boot which yoi can book for a private swim. Stayed on family site, and Pitches are big enough though a little close together and not separated by hedges or anything, but nice enough. Nice peaceful location too though not much to do in walking distance but fine with a car. Would return.
This is a great site. It is very handy for Greetham village which has two pubs within easy walking distance. The site wardens are very helpful and enthusiastic. The site is very well laid out with an adults only section and a family section. There is play equipment for children and a swimming pool which you can hire for exclusive use. The toilets are excellent and we were particularly impressed with the privacy rooms. Very handy. Site is also within an easy drive of Rutland Water, Oakham, Stamford, Melton Mowbray and Barnsdale garden. We definitely intend to visit again because it is also very handy for the A1.
Lovely site, this is one of the kids favourite sites, nice play park and large grass area for the kids to be kids.nnMini restaurant on site is decent, all the food is of a high quality.nnShower block could do with a little modernising but it is more than functional and clean.nnOn site private pool available for hirennPitch sizes are fantastic, lovely views and lots of birds
Overall a good experience. Starting to look a bit tired in places and I would say luxury lodge is pushing it a bit. Ant powder inside and outside the lodgegreeted by flying ants in the Ensuite . Outside the parasol was rusty the electric power cabinet was filthy and the lodge was covered in cobwebs.Staff were friendly and told us the onsite cafe only opens when it's very busy so we had no onsite facilities. We did enjoy it though and it was lovely and peaceful.
Lodge was beautiful and clean, welcome basket was a special touch.nStaff were very warm and welcoming. Hot tub and sauna are well maintained and a lovely place to relax. We will definitely be looking at coming back to the lodges
