Spent summer camp here with 15 scouts. Would have easily fitted twice that number with plenty of space including woodland to muck about in. Local district staff were very friendly and helpful. Facilities were very good with lavatories and electric showers on a diesel genny ask for the key. Mountain bikes available for rent - great for nearby Rutland water but the road outside is super dangerous. Easy access to bridleway at rear for local hiking. There’s even the ex-quarantine hospital on site with beds and a superb industrial kitchen if you feel like splashing out.
Fantastic Site with a brilliant team. The facilities are of a high standard and well maintained.
If you think you can hear an eerie heart beat like sound in the woods here don't be alarmed, there's a ram pump on a natural spring on the western edge of the camp site.
Great camp and activity site for the young.
Cub camp 2018 held here went down as a success in our family
Cub and Scout camp. Great weekend.
