I can feel your joy and excitement emanating from your words! It's lovely to hear you express your love for the park where you were born next door. The view of London from the park sounds breathtaking, and it's fantastic that you find the energy there to be positive and uplifting. It's also great to hear that the people who come to the park are decent, making it a welcoming and safe space for everyone. I'm thrilled to hear that you recently discovered the pond in the park, and I hope it brings you even more joy and happiness in the years to come!
Really pretty park, friendly squirrels and birds. Perfect in spring, aesthetic photo opportunities, and just a pleasure to visit. Would recommend, it is a beautiful place to go in Camberwell.
Stunning hidden gem in south london. The views are breathtaking, ppl polite and friendly, clean areas, even the public bathrooms are spotless. Truly is one of best local parks in london Playground: Fun, paddling pool, little cafe , lots to do safe and clean Restrooms: Clean tidy Dog-friendliness: Lots and LOTS of dogs, mainly little ones though so it's not intimidating Picnic area: Nice lawned areas. Could do with more benches and bins
A lovely park in south London. Lots of space, beautiful trees and parkland, a great cafe, a good play area, a large paddling pool in the summer, lots of tennis courts and gym areas, some allotments and formal gardens. Something for everyone and fabulous views of central London.
Great little park in southeast London. It has band stand, tennis courts, basketball court, football pitch and a play park for children. Some of them are a bit run down, but all fine. There is also paddling pool which is great fun for everyone in the summer. The cafe next to it sells ice cream, tea and coffee and snacks. Toilet is also there. Parking restriction is noon- 2pm Monday - Friday, but rest of the time free.
Just watching a couple of parents smoking next to the paddling pool area. There were at least 3 people that couldn't be bothered to move away from children before having a smoke. After being told 'I've been coming here for years! ' as a reason, there really isn't any point in saying anything else. If they don't care enough to not smoke around their own kids, how would I expect them to care about others? Other than that, nice place, good facilities.
Really enjoyed the pool, the environment and atmosphere in general was exciting but the pool was great as the sun has been shining bright.
One of my favourite parks in London. A small gem, compared to the larger, well known parks. This park is relatively quiet. In the south-west of the park, there are wide open grassy fields, perfect for playing with, or exercising your dogs. In the central/north-eastern side, there are lots of windy paths to have a walk on. There’s also public toilets, near the center, on the southernmost side of the park.
Amazing place for relaxing after a stressful day.
Potentially my favourite park in all of London. It has everything you need: squirrels, dogs, views, music, gym, football, trapeze, basketball, tennis, pond, cafe, playground, sanctuary and more squirrels.
