Lovely narrow gauge railway following the line of the old Leek to Macclesfield railway line along the shore of Rudyard Lake. Mostly steam hauled but they also have diesels. Cafe at the station near the new carriage works.

Great little railway that is well worth a trip to visit. Try to pick a nice day as carrages are open. Single or return tickets available so you can enjoy a lakeside walk and ride back or visa versa.
Cafe available at peak times at Rudyard depot where you can see engines being prepaired for service.

Lovely railway with very friendly staff my kids love having a day out there. Reasonable prices as well.
