Great value food with the two-for -£22 mains deal, chips were great, good portion size, burger was really good too. Great service, quick and friendly, every member of staff made an effort to smile and say hello as we walked through the restaurant. The Long Island ice tea was lovely, but the star cocktail was the “Royal Oak” signature cocktail with cucumber, a revelation! Vibe was great, decor was really well done and the music was lovely even before the live band came on - who were amazing! Really talented jazz musicians. Highly recommend this place.
1st time visit to the bar and restaurant and we was very pleased. Oysters were delicious and fresh, so was the the rest of the meal. Service was great and Amie was very attentive and fun. Thanks for a great meal and evening
WOW WOW and WOW We received a welcome from Amy that instantly made us comfortable and relaxed in her company. Our starters were Scallops cooked to perfection and pate and sourdough toasta good sized portion and the toSt was as light as a feather. In between my starter and main course sofia a you trainee waitress introduced me to Oysters beautiful displayed on a bed of ice with chilled sauces Sofias knowledge was given with a soft friendliness that automatically reassured and encouraged me. I had the seafood paella and my husband steak with peppercorn sauce. Both were so delicious and again good sized portions All the food was so well presented we couldn't wait to tuck in and I forgot to take pictures but I have tried to rearrange my half eaten paella just to give you an idead. If your looking for a great place for a date night this tiny intimate resturant with great food and amazing service from Amy and Sofia this is the place to go Or take it over with your large celebration party. I would highly recommend the oyster bar at the Royal Oak swindon but also recommended booking first during to size And say hi to Amy and Sofia from me please
Lush cocktails at the Royal Oak 2 for £10 barginPassionfruit Martini a must xx We booked a table and the pub is covid compliant. Staff very friendly. Pitza list looked fab and they do gf too so will be back to try them xx
First time after covid restrictions and it felt great. Very helpful staff....especially when there was a problem with my pizza order!which incidentally was fab! and amazing selection of gins! Loved being able to try a local gin too Tickle
Fantastic. We were comparing the mussels and chips to ones we had in Bruges and thought these were better by far. Oysters were a lovely treat and went very well with their Bloody Mary. We will definitely be coming again. We want to try something else off the menu but I don't know as I was won over by what we had!
A lively spacious place that offers restaurant service and rock osters. 2 years later 0122 here again listening to life jazz.
I like this place, it's got a good atmosphere and groundout staff. Owners a legend too. 10/10 Give it a try
I had a lovely dinner at the royal oak yesterday with my friend. The staff were very friendly and made us feel relaxed and welcome. Food was very tasty, we ordered 6 Oysters which was very good and presented lovely. We both ordered the Steak and Frites which was cooked amazing and tasted delicious Cocktails were also very good and lots of choice. Fantastic evening and I will be going back Highly Recommended from me
Top notch paella. Super friendly staff. If in Swindon this is the place to go.
