This was a lovely pub at lunchtime, with fantastic staff managing a very busy crowd, including an Irish funeral. The food was delivered pretty promptly and the bar staff ensured that everyone was served as quickly as possible. Well Done Merlin!
Tuesday visit for lunch. Great menu in managed outlets at very reasonable prices. 2 meals for £10.99 and seniors menu of two courses for £4.99. Our meals were spot on, just a bit high on prices for drinks. Hunters Chicken and Katsu Chicken. Yumm
Had a drink and food in the Merlin for my daughters wedding on 29th September Staff were superb, helpful, went out of there way for us all, we are so pleased we chose the Merlin well done all the staff you were all great 10/10
Unbeatable Mac and Chips, super fresh Fish and Chips and great ambience. Sunday roast prices are hard to beat, too. Not so impressed by the beer, though. For those that prefer lagers or the Greene King IPA, those are available, I'm more of a real ale person and it's a tad disappointing in that department. The Icebreaker Pale on draught is pretty good nonetheless but theres hardly any 'good' beer options apart from that.
Christmas Day.... Really good atmosphere, quite busy with lots of families and felt really festive with the decorations. Staff really friendly, welcoming and helpful. Food was actually really good, dessert being my favourite, not quite sure how I ate so much! Will definitely come back soon.
We had a lovely delicious lunch yesterday at the Merlin. My 2 year old loved his meal and the staff was very friendly. We would definitely go again
Only had a couple of drinks but seems like a decent place, clean and lively as was Saturday night.. Big car park which is a bonus. Pub is spacious too, which I liked
Good food at a good price, which is becoming much harder to find in these times! Friendly and helpful staff too and it's a nice pub to spend some time in. Have only been once so far, so hopefully future visits will match up.
We arranged to have my sons 21st Birthday at the merlin. the management team and bar staff where amazing and very helpful. they went above and beyond to cater for us and where constantly in contact from the booking up to the date of the event. thank you
This place was always a favourite to celebrate special events. Our family Sunday lunch time visit was a diappointment. Booked table in advance were told no Sunday Roasts were available it was only 1pm Reserved Table was taken by another party so seated under a TV. Food arrived hour and half after ordering cold over cooked inedible and told no hot drink were being served. 5 other groups were also having the sa
