I come here regularly now as food is great and super service. I had steak and Stilton pie with mash and vegetables. Absolutely delicious. Hope they can keep open despite the road closure! Great place. Thanks.
Warm welcome from the staff, offer seating in various areas. Good choice of food on the menu. Went for a 3 pot selection; tagine, Hungarian Beef stew and Mushroom stroganoff. With a side of warm crusty bread. All three dishes were perfect. Could not ask for more.
Just had a family meal here, there were 4 adults and one child. Excellent menu, we were spoiled for choice really - and the prices were reasonable too. We were about to order off the main menu for the child but asked about a childrens menu at that point - it was brought to us with alacrity, so my only 'complaint' about the whole experience was that the childrens menu should have been offered straight off. That's a minor point because the staff were polite and very competent & the food was very good indeed. Would recommend to anyone. I will certainly return!
Lovely pub, plenty of parking nice and cosy good food and fair prices great they have kept the play park my little one loved it played on the same elephant slide when I was her age. Well worth a visit if you are looking for somewhere new to try.
What a lovely pub with amazing food. We had 3 sharing bowls between 2 of us from a delicious selection we chose the Moroccan tagine, Hungarian stew and mushroom stroganoff. Absolutely delicious!
Delicious Sunday roast! Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, very tasty food with generous portions and at a good price. If I lived locally I'd be back repeatedly
Best food. Best value. Best staff for miles around. Don't bother with any other pub in Wanborough,Ashbury or Bishopstone - we've tried them all on numerous occasions....
We were greeted by a happy lady who showed us our table, drinks were bought fairly quickly, the meals were a bit slow coming out, we were told and apologised for the delay, the pie was really good, the pizza looked great, the salmon on cus cus was over cooked and dry. We all had empty plates, the warm chocolate brownie and ice cream won the day. Delicious
We have just had lunch here and have been so impressed with the service, food and atmosphere. A gorgeous pub with lovely food and attentive staff.
Food was very good, service a bit slow. Nice warm fire.
