I have a list of complaints I would love to report this centre for if they hadn't sapped me of every last ounce of my will to live: 1- when I first arrived at RHUL I attempted to book an appointment three weeks in advance of my repeat prescription (125mg of medicine I'd been on for 2 years) running out. I informed them I needed the appointment within that time as I would suffer withdrawal identical to that of heroin withdrawal. They said there was nothing they could do and gave me an appointment for 4 days after my medication ran out. 2- I was then renewed on the medication I'd withdrawn from. Making it feel ten times stronger in terms of side effects. That should never have happened and I stopped taking the medication because the side effects were so severe that I was throwing up every hour until there was nothing left for around a week. 3- I asked for immediate therapy for my severe illnesses as I'd been on therapy for two years, I was referred to a 'mental health advisor' supposedly three times - the first being the start of the school year - and didn't hear from anyone until I had moved out. 4- I asked for referral for a specific diagnosis, and when I hadn't heard back from anyone I returned to the reception only to be told that my referral was non-existent. No one had sent off anything. I made an appointment for three weeks later and my referral got sent off, finally. 5- After I moved out of my university halls I received a letter to my university address from the mental health advisor, literally saying "I am the mental health advisor. Due to high demand I didn't see you at all this year. Call talking therapies." Moving onto my second year: 1- I made an appointment around the second week back at university to ask for medication and therapy. In that appointment the GP told me he had sent an electronic prescription to the pharmacy in the high street, when I walked down there they said they had no such prescription waiting. I went back there two weeks later, when I was finally able to force myself out of bed and out to go all the way down to the pharmacy (which doesn't seem like much to a healthy person, but it was to me), but they said it still wasn't there. I called the receptionist and asked where it was and she said the doctor openly wrote in his notes not to issue me any medication, and if I wanted to get the medication I needed I'd have to make another appointment in 3 weeks time. 2- I asked for that appointment since the medication was becoming urgent - I was unable to eat, I couldn't leave bed unless I forced myself to which took around 3 days to do, I was constantly suicidal and wishing to starve to death and never wake up, etc. The day before this appointment I was sent a text to say I wouldn't be seen by the original doctor with 0 explanation. When I arrived at that appointment the doctor was kind but unhelpful. She didn't prescribe any medication and said she wanted to wait for the official opinion of a mental health advisor - one I knew from past experience I may NEVER SEE. 3- she contacted a specialist who met with me around 2 weeks later - and I rehashed every single emotional and traumatic detail of my illnesses to a huge extent which was incredibly frightening and fearful for me. This took time out of my studies which I had already missed due to poor health. After all of that he told me that he wouldn't give me any medication and that I should make an appointment with the FIRST GP WHO NEVER GAVE ME ANY MEDICINE. That was it. A year and a half with zero actual help. I was left without medication and therapy for four severe illnesses, one of which is life-long and can never be cured and can only be functioning after a decade of therapy. I was chasing my own tail and being pushed around in circles and I've had to leave Holloway for the sole reason of getting help for my health. if students are having to leave university just to get treatment for their health conditions you're doing something wrong.

Really horrendous service. I highly recommend you register elsewhere. Receptionist was rude and unhelpful, beginning most phone calls with a presumptive (and curt) 'is this about the pill?' - if you were a girl calling in.

Like a GP but without doctors or medical professionals. They do their best though and are pleasant to deal with.

I cant complain about anything personally as I was seen an hour after I booked my appointment (bit annoying that they don't let you book in advance but on the day worked) and the doctor was thorough and extremely nice. Prescribed me some antibiotics for a chest infection and gave me good advice, didn't make the appointment feel rushed or anything like other doctors I've seen
