Came several time for the summer exhibition and other events. Very convenient location, well curated art works. It's not as large as the national museum so naturally it gets busy sometimes. Overall is good and the gift shop has some interesting items.
Great walk from St. James tube, through park in sunshine etc. RA is a wonderful pace although the Gaugin exhibit didn’t have many Gaugins... anyway - a great day of sun in between days of rain - and nice to be out...
One of the greatest art institutions in London, with a wide range of exhibitions changing throughout the year. In the summer there is also an exhibition where a mixture of young and famous artists can showcase and sell their art. It is advisable to book any exhibition in advance.
Love, love, love the RA. Just when I think it could not outdo one of its exhibitions, the RA goes and outdoes itself again. I try to go to each exhibition at least twice. Summer Exhibition is a must, ignore the petty, baseless newspaper reviews.
Always some good exhibits on, have seen loads of the great artists, architects and designers here over the years as well as the Summer shows which are brilliant. The building is also really impressive and in a great location.
