Pollock's Toy Museum

Story

Pollock's Toy Museum is a small museum in London, England. It was started in 1956 in a single attic room at 44 Monmouth Street, near Covent Garden, above Benjamin Pollock's Toy Shop, where Pollock's Toy Theatres were also sold. As the enterprise flourished, other rooms were taken over for the museum and the ground floor became a toyshop. By 1969 the collection had outgrown the Monmouth Street premises and Pollock's Toy Museum moved to 1 Scala Street, with a museum shop on the ground floor to contribute to its support. The museum continues today to be run by the grandson of the founder Marguerite Fawdry.

Wonderful museum. Colourful as well with a wide range of history- from He-Man to the oldest known teddy bear. If you do enjoy history and toys of all kinds, this is probably somewhere you’ll enjoy!
9pounds per person,it's a very information packed place, with lots of contents. Be careful going in at night, there are hundreds of creepy dolls waiting for you.
It's a very small museum with very interesting and sometimes creepy toys but I would recommend for people who are interested in dolls and toys, it was a nostalgic experience especially seeing some toys from the 80s and 90s, I had some of them when I was a kid
Very good place,kinda creepy tho
A pretty interesting toy museum with a large range of toys from different time periods and also from different countries. My favourite parts were the 4000 years old ancient Egyptian mouse toy, the Indonesian puppets and the Asian dolls. I also liked the small display of Hungarian gingerbread figures.
A unique place. One of the oddest museums I toured. Very quick to go through Inexpensive
Really cool but can be a bit creepy if you go in when it is not busy and you go in alone. The toys collection is mesmerising abd being the old style 1700s and 1800s houses is good enough for the trip itself
Best teddy bears selection, four floors of toys through the eras. Close to the Gigs Fish and chips Restaurant on the corner of Tottenham Street.
