Me and my partner regularly visit roots. It is the best, freshest tasting breakfast we've ever had. We previously had some bad experiences with staff who didn't acknowledge us or seem enthusiastic. We wrote to let the manager know that the restaurant had this atmosphere to which he apologised and offered us a free meal. We did not accept the lovely offer of a free meal but have since been back and were pleased to find that our feedback had been taken on board and the restaurant is a happy and cheerful place to eat! Roots ticks all the boxes for us! A must try for Fry-up lovers!!

Been to this cafe several times, the first time was good but after that it was down hill, staff rude & didnt want to serve us, made us feel we shouldn't be there, will not go there again.

Lovely food good quality great pot of tea and delicious homemade cakes. Unfortunately the thing that lets it down is the smell and haze of cooking oil which makes you're clothes smell this has put us off sitting in.
