Robinsons Hire Drive

I hired a large van for moving furniture to Dundee recently. On arrival the staff were friendly and efficient and I had the paperwork done in no time. The van drove great, was the perfect size and the key drop avoided an early rise on the Sunday. A great experience and Robinsons are now my go-to company next time I need a van. Highly recommended!

Bought van from here after one week needs new clutch 2 weeks later new egr value told me when a sat in drivers seat for the first time he leaned over and pushed off the stop start button says that drains your battery keep that off funny how that’s linked to egr he knew something wasn’t right he also says to us take out the warranty and if no garage can help we will do the work well he told us when we did go back that he couldn’t help us that’s not what they do. Don’t go here £6000 for a van to last a week. George your word means nothing your a conman.

Lovely staff who were a joy to deal with - Robinson’s saved my bacon after Enterprise let me down badly last minute. The car provided by Robinson’s was brand new and much cheaper than the National hire companies. All paperwork done very quickly with no hidden fees. Fantastic hire company all vans and cars are fairly new. Luton vans have electric tail lifts as standard vehicles are immaculate when you pick them up. Helpful friendly staff. Would highly recommend.

Positives: Have used this company twice now to hire a transit van. Process smooth and efficient. Most staff professional and helpful. Guy in car park Sunday and Monday am this week very helpful and customer-focused. Please share this information with him. Reasonable costs I think but then I did not get quotes as I had used before. Will do next time though. £8 per day for insurance seems reasonable to me. I do not consider it to be fair that if one brings the vans back when the office is closed and posts the key as advised that if something happens to the van before the office re-opens that the client is held responsible. Also because of the design of the van albeit large external wing mirrors but no internal front window mirror reversing is difficult without someone guiding and there is no beeping system to warn those behind. Suggest that this is rectified or an obvious notice is put on the van advising to have someone guiding. In terms of interaction with clients... not good practice in my view to be dealing with one client and then talk over their shoulder to the next person in the queue without an apology or explanation Sunday morning. Constructive feedback is just that ....not to be taken personally or as criticism but to improve services for others. Please note!
