Spoke to an advisor on phone who confirmed my questions but when arrived there vwas advised differently so left in disgust and Will nevervconsider using this poor rental company.

Absolutely awful costumer service. Was left 5 hours with a flat tyre just outside Stirling. After 3 hours and the 15th phone call, I slightly raised my voice on the phone as I had people waiting for me under the rain to go pick up, and the phone was hung up on me!! Absolutely shocking! The person on the phone told me 5 times he would have called me back and never called me back, his excuse being he was the only person in the branch working and he had other costumers to think about. Not sure this is a valid excuse for leaving me 5 hours waiting under the rain. I will throw away my Loyalty Card and never rent a car with Europcar again.

Less than impressed. Due to issue with my credit card, (had PREPAID all charges online in May) they did not want to lend me a car, accused me of being in a ring of car thieves who do this apparently. Manager was a horribly grumpy woman (not with just me, acted in same manner to another customer). Well, sorted the credit card issue with copies of my flight home, only to be told didn't have the car I ordered in (I was 1.5 hours early, tell me how they can possibly get a car turned around in this amount of time?). Would I like to upgrade for an extra £15/day. Sure anything to get me out of there. I was told to sign here, here and here. NO FURTHER CHARGES WERE EXPLAINED. Based on the extra £15/day, I should have paid about £200 extra overall. Imagine my horror when nearly £900 is charged to my credit card. When I did try and query it I was basically given an FU and 'you signed the paperwork' (which also did not have all the charges listed on it). Do not hire from Europcar, and don't hire from Europcar Stirling. I learned a hard and expensive lesson.

Overall car was good value but I was charged over 90 pounds on my debit card account 4 days after taking car back and having it checked over before I left. I paid the car rental in advance via my credit card!
