Stopped here, on a Sunday, without booking between house viewings. Parking had plenty of room, great spot for the Volvo. Reserved a table and went for a walk to look at the house/Riverside. Came back, served. The team. The folk here were lovely. The guy who handled our reservation knew the area. The girl behind the bar was lovely and delivered drinks to our table whilst we got our carvery. The young lad on the carvery was jolly and courteous. The food. All three meats with the extra pigs in blankets. Fresh not too soft not too hard broccoli, carrots, mash was buttery smooth. Toasties were crispy. All in all. We will be back. Great work. Better than Toby.
Called in on way home from York. Food and service very good. Young girls on the till and entrance very polite and professional. Ordered the gluten free chicken and bacon salad with a side order of jacket potato and the Hunters chicken with chips from the main menu. Food was very nice. Will definately go back.

Came here yesterday. Arrived to a very big and busy car park took my lad in to the play area which was £5 it was literally empty got busy later on tho. WiFi was poor in there but my lad loved the wacky warehouse and outdoor play area. Went into almost an empty bar around 7pm ordered food which took almost an hour was OK tho as we wasn't in rush but was my only complaint and the price of drinks! green King really do have your pants down on a pint!
If I could give no stars then I would. The only good thing was my food and the chef who served my carvery. He was the most friendly and chatty staff member there. The rest of the staff didn’t have a clue, no customer service, looked like they didn’t want to be there, heard a staff member swear because they had enough of there shift, no one asked us how our meal was or if you wanted anything else. My friends had to go up to the bar twice to ask where there drinks were 20 minutes they were waiting, food took at least 40 minutes and the restaurant was dead. No excuses except get some staff that appreciate there job and know how to do it. Won’t be in a rush to come back.
Great carvery and I enjoyed the good selection of beer. Greene King never disappoints
Went at 2:45 on a Sunday and the carvery was great Turkey, Ham and beef. Large plates are huge and I asked for extra beef as it looked properly cooked and pink. Turkey was juicy and the ham good also. Vegetables are help yourself and not over cooked but maybe to crunchy for some.
We came here to celebrate after my parents marriage recently and the food was delicious and didn't take long to come. The drinks were nice and the price overall was.very good. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Bought a magic bag from 'Too food to go' great app . I drove about 15 minutes to get there and despite having plenty of food they had run out of takeaway boxes. As this was their fault I would have thought they would have invited me to eat in but no, I was turned away without food. Terrible service, won't waste my time using them again.
Not too sure what happened here. Been to this place many many times and although the food is never amazing, it's always good. The service is usually very good however tonight neither the food or the service was good. It wasn't busy at all, yet empty glasses and rubbish from the table wasn't cleared away and no check backs on any of the food were carried out. The whole vibe of the place seems to have changed for the worse, which is sad really, as even if the food was a bit off the boil, you could normally rely on good service.
