Served 3 shots of sambuca, at 15ml shots. No where near 25ml as 25ml shot glasses were half empty. 10 years in pub trade.

Absolutely disgusting pub! Toilets are vile. And landlady is so rude. Let’s you buy a drink and sit down them takes the drink from you and tells you to get out for no reason. Customer services is disappointing.
Great club. Tap side and main side. Weekly entertainment, food, friendly staff. Not the cheapest beer but it goes down well. Been there many times as entertainment and never seen an ounce of trouble
Good accoustics for live music. Did find that the regulars take priority at the bar and on the night we went they seemed to be running out of drink and no 'driver friendly' drinks available and poor selection of soft drinks, but the act more than made up for that.
Popped in as passing as needed toilet and was gonna grab a drink before I left. Lady behind bar came rushing through vey loudly said can i help you i said i was heading to the toilet and was told it was not a public toilet and I should have asked . She was very rude and not friendly at all I did not stay for a drink as felt very embarrassed as there were people in the bar that heard everything. I did thank her as I left and she just ignored me.The pub looked nice but staff or at least this lady was very aggressively spoken I would not recomend this pub.
I like it. Nice barman & beer. In my book it is a trad boozer
Just had a brilliant night in the Mitre the locals are so welcoming and are keeping us a seat when we come back haha The Melody Makers were on really enjoyed their set cannot wait to get back down.
The Mitre is a local community pub that has been left to decline, but with the New Manager taking over it seems to be getting better, and if the refurbishment that is due to take place after Christmas, it can only be for the better, I just hope and wish the locals give the Manager the backing he deserves
Nice family friendly pub. The landlady always takes the time to say hello and the locals are welcoming.
