We were in the village for the weekend and visited for food, the food was good and prices were great too. No well known drinks like strongbow dark fruits, Carling, fosters ect though. Its a no phone zone and they had bar games which was a nice touch it made it much more entertaining and we had a really good time! They had a real log fire which was very cosy and the bathroom was very nicely decorated
Really nice atmosphere and friendly bar staff. The seating out back is lovely all year round. Dogs are welcome which is a bonus.

A good local pub. A few different inside spaces and a great beer garden out there back.
Went in this afternoon and was stunned to see live weasal fighting in the middle of the bar. Asked for a pint of Carling and was told by a regular that this wasn't a soft pub and he gave me a chinese burn. Ended up having a gallon of Old Rosie Cider. Plugged my phone charger into the wall and a member of staff removed it at pace and threw it out of the front door shouting "Energy Crisis" ... Great pub, lovely atmos, can't wait to go back.
I have been there on my language trip, good beer in my austrian opinion nice ambiance. Bartenders are nice
Rare trip to The Sun. Always seems awkward to get to the bar with the way the pub is arranged. Couple of casks on which were ok.

We don't get here often but are very happy to come any time we can! Lovely old pub, staff all super and friendly. Just how we like a pub to be. Best come and see for yourself!
