We hope you enjoy your dining experience with us.

Here at River House we are dedicated to sourcing and using only the finest seasonal and sustainable produce from around the Highlands and Islands of Scotland.

All our dishes are individually prepared and cooked to order in our kitchen.

This gem, a not so hidden secret is perhaps the best food that you will eat in Inverness. The craft in the kitchen. The quality of the catch. The charm of the team. The atmosphere that is unique, special, vibrant, compelling. You don’t need to go further than The River House. I am drawn here every time I venture this north and only disappointed that they close Sunday and Monday - otherwise I would be here more (as business often brings me to town on a monday). Be sure to book. Be sure to get in. Be sure as sure can be that you will enjoy and be back again.

Nice place. Great seafood (including oysters) and sides. Coffee was definitely below expectations though (watery espresso and latte without foam).

lovely experience. The staff was great and made us feel special and it's an absolutely romantic place with the river just outside. I'd definitely recommend dinner here especially if you love seafood x

Great food with good choice. Fresh oysters and lots of lovely fish dishes as we as excellent steak. Such a nice place. Very welcoming. Feels like we are in France.
