We stayed here for one night on our way to dropping our car at Glasgow airport. We were met by a lovely young woman and all information about Rivendell was given and directions for how to walk in to Dumfries. Our room was delightful, clean and warm. We left early the following morning and the chef was only too happy to cook porridge for my friend even though we were early. Lovely place to stay enhanced by delightful staff.

One word to discribe it FANTASTIC stayed for one night the lady we booked with over the phone was so so lovely we had a room to the rear near car park the quality was superb all you needed clean is an undetstatement more immaculate bed comfy and no noise even though the location is on the main road .Its ideal for dumfries town centre and to top it all off a great choice for breakfast its well price and deservant of 5 stars !!

I remember having a great time there. The rooms were in a medieval style, owners and employees very kind. Would recommend it anytime!

Good food good rooms not nice views homely good place to stay. Pictures I added are from the back were my room was and it's still a nice place
